Man reading this thread has kind of reminded me how bad the entire site had it with schizos and shitty moderation.
schizos were tolerated by other anons for a reason.
sometimes anons crawl out of the rabbit holes a bit fucked up, and some places on the board ( /x/ ) were cultivating schizo brain rot, exploiting anons' tolerance.
Its why I want to know who was doing the moderating/mopping on /x/
They weren't just not-moderating AI experiments on anons, they were running them.

Thank you for your informative post
That's one of the reasons I have not posted outside this general yet, because I am trying to learn how you guys like to run this ship before I begin rummaging curiously through another man's refrigerator
Really it's just a matter of first looking at a subforum and getting the vibe for what kinds of threads exist in it. They all have descriptions under their names. Then just check out an OP, highlight hop a little through popular posts (the ratings system here is actually useful since you'll be taken straight to important, on-topic updates, memes about the topic, or a slapfight that turns into one of the two), then hang out in the most recent pages to get a feel for what's up.

/tg/ anons should use the tabletop community thread here. I miss seeing your badly painted models and shit GW kitbashes.
That would be nice. I wonder if the table top thread could also be used to talk about World of Darkness and Bruva Alfabusa's "Hunter: The Parenting" show

I've been lurking through the altchans to see how they're handling the other refugees, those that're getting a lot of attention just seem to be overwhelmed. 8chan.moe and se put up stuff saying they were in need of new moderators to deal with the recent influx of people, and Sharty has a bunch of new boards from the rapefugees.

The Sharty hacker broke a dam and now everyone is being flooded.
honestly I kind of feel bad for people dealing with this shit.
There's going to be a lot of wasted time and effort building out infrastructure that is going to languish and go completely unused once 4chinz is actually back up. Even worse, before they were mostly flying under the radar but now they've got a spotlight on their existence and that's only going to show them how absolutely awful the schizos that were 24/7 raiding 4chinz actually are, especially since, lol, lmao, they're trying to be "cool" and "hip" and "with it" by not banning the fuck out of VPN's or having aggressive anti-ban evasion measures.

What do I do on kiwi if I want to post on something related to me but I also dont just want to narrow down my address that much, I need anonymous posting options.

everyone who needs to lurk to understand the culture of any given website, not just KF, is severely autistic and I mean more autistic than average.
Just dont walk in and act like a retard and/or act like you own the joint. as long as you're giving out useful information and/or you're not shitting up the place nobody gives a shit. You'll learn the in-jokes eventually. Its not that hard.

Yeah, exactly, don't think too hard about it, just have fun. You really only need to be extra careful if you're intending to start threads; that's where you want to have your quality control locked in. If you're just hanging out in threads with other Kiwis (as long as it's not a topic requiring some expertise like law sperging) then you'll probably be fine. We were all pink join dates once.

I have absolutely 0 confidence they'll get the site up when they said. For the past 10 years they only had 1 person updating the site, and all his updates were to spam-prevention measures. Do they even have a single competent dev?
If it come back up, it'll just be hacked again in short measure, and likely this time by someone who hates the users instead of the mods.

aggressive anti-ban evasion measures.
Oh they do, when it fits their agenda
As one of the white pill thread makers, they shut us down by geolocation rangebans
The relatively mid sized town I used to live in couldn't post threads at all after they got me, I wasn't able to make threads again until after I moved state
But it didn't matter, I knew what would happen if I started making white pill threads on /pol/ again and so did the three other anons who did it, wherever they are today 1689300944990197.webp

Stick with us and you'll be fine. Null, the owner, might hate us, but he hates us in the same way you "hate" your dog for shitting on your floor.
