The /g/ janitors have been particularly terrible, always asleep at the wheel which allows gooners to spam their shit everywhere with the typical "What technology does she use?". The parts that do talk about technology are reduced to idiotic flame wars about what phone is better or not, as if they are luxurious purses. While I truly don't hate ai, the ai threads aren't helping things as they are full of gooners.
Could be part of it. I just feel like /g/ despite it being "technology" doesn't really know or talk much about it. I promise it just feels like a place that's more behind in technology than anything. Then anything new or interesting (gadgets, AI, holographic TV display technologies, VR, etc) just falls flat there. It'd just be nice to find somewhere to talk about technology and electronics somewhere without constant dooming, pessimism and fear about it. Or flat out threads just dying since it's not, like you said, flame war inducing or something.

It's the idea of "community". You think of people as people instead of people as subject matter experts to the topic at hand, you'll start making features to attract the people in themselves.

A dogma of mine is that offtopic sections are how you fuck up a website. Keeping strict topic centrality is how you maintain a most useful forum. This breaks down only when you have a loose topic that's hard to circumscribe with topical delimiters.

EDIT: it's autistic sounding because you have to fix a community to squeeze out the most autisitc elements, or else you'll be overrun by autismos. You have to force the community to only be useful to subject matter experts, so that only they post. Otherwise, you get communities overrrun by autists and trannies.
Idk why I should speak spanish here, gente me llamara gringo o algo.

What are you about for real though?
Ultimately everyone reduces down to 1 tribal loyalty, even mutts whose tribe is a recent formation. People that haven't arrived at that conclusion, haven't completed their hero's journey yet. Doesn't mean you have to hate everyone else, or that your cousin tribes are not also your kin, and it also doesn't mean your organizational ideology/country memes are irrelevant or without merit either, it just means you can clearly state without duplicity or conflict of interest and with foresight where you will inevitably be standing anyway as divide and conquer and alinskyism runs its course like a mind disease and terraforms the social landscape into something that will nullify the poison out of necessity.

de qua causa soleo latine loquor? sed inter nos, nos enim unua lingua interloquerimus.

dico tibi quidem: why the fuck you wanna look like the halfway charicature between a fat indio and an aryan when you should be only proud of who you are in itself?

I rather like KF. There is still much to read and discover. Its like stumbling out of a shitty bar into library. Im happy 4chan is back up but it feels like alot of oldfags broke containment to greener pastures and now alot of the energy is just punishing jannies ( rightfully ), the standard issue discord bbc posters, or consensus shaping. Truly a bittersweet moment

The subforum here which has technology is rather useful I believe if you are ever interested. There are some users there who are very knowledgeable about technology who post there.

How long until the soyjack party people hack it again? Who knows, maybe it's not even them, the next time round
>4chan gets hacked and turns into an ad for a cryptocurrency
>4chan gets hacked and links to an Indian scam

this discussion right here is the equivalent of 2 homeless people fighting over a moldy sandwich
hey, everybody has some emotional things to say. paul harrell was a big name in the gun community, and he died suddenly of cancer. he was very influential, and it hits to even see him. sorry to interrupt you friend.

what if hypothetically rapeape did hire the Indians they could mutiny (like with what happened to 2chan) if they realize the power they have in their hands (this would however ruin the word shitposting)
