Small aside, but finding stuff like this in my wanderings is always such a treat.
I found a repository of old stories for a TTRPG setting I enjoy, and the person who had compiled all of them essentially roleplayed as an archivist and the website was their library open to curious travellers. It was really endearing because you could tell how much the person cared about the microscopic niche they'd carved out.

I fucking despise what "Cringe Culture" has done to the web and how everything has to appeal to the retarded mainstream masses.

This is depressing. I was a regular user from 2010 up until the captcha and cool downs got overly aggressive a few years ago. Boards like /g/, /o/, /fit/, /k/, /tv/ had some of the most autistic and funniest threads with insanely niche board culture that’s lost to the abyss as people have migrated away from the site. Every time I visit expecting to see some similar variation of retarded memes from years ago the boards all feel like a soulless husk. It felt like even /pol/ was late getting to any of the Epstein or Iran stuff compared to xitter or the farms.

I yearn for the halcyon days of mid 2010’s 4chan. Really wish Hiroshimoot would sell the site to someone that actually gave a fuck and would be effective at running it.

Talking about gachas or vtubers on 4chan means you sign up to join a conversation with Isfahan from Indonesia, Rafael from the Philippines, Nankongpoophucket from Thailand, Phat Phuc from Vietnam, Mustafar from Malaysia, and Xiao Nima from Singapore. More than likely or not, one or two of them will be samefagging as well, and it's super obvious the way their replies are timed exactly 1 minute from what they're replying to, or if they parrot the same talking points over and over again.

SEAmonkeys and third worlders just fly to this like moths to a lamp, it's insane how much they've infested the tranime subculture.

My experience from Genshin /bant/ threads is that most shitposting and noise comes from fellow Euro flags. Could be VPNs, jannies have been proven to be actively shitposting in the general and refusing to moderate known schizophrenics, but still.

whenever i see stuff like this I always want to doubt it because jannies can't really announce their presence so i have no idea how you'd know they were there but the /brit/ thread is infested with two schizos who spend 16 hours a day posting their weird fantasies about the gherkin in London and how it's actually an all inclusive migrant hotel where they rape white children and they never get banned yet porn and politics is gone in minutes

It's absolutely a known fact that jannies are complicit in letting these double-digit IQs shit up threads, because there wouldn't be anyone posting in said threads otherwise. Just visit any thread in /vg/ and you'd find at least one thread schizo replying to themselves. The only thing they do is remove NSFW from non-NSFW boards and getting rid of the CSAM that David Hoffman plants on dead boards.

Ah I don't use most boards on 4chan but you do always see schizos accusing random personalityfags of being jannies
But yeah the problem with generals is that as long as their posts are vaguely related to the subject of the general, how are jannies even meant to do anything about it
