The staff cannot give less of a fuck about 4chan nowadays, but the users are the ones that end up with disappointment for expecting even the simplest of things
 
I feel like after 2022-ish things really went downhill.
This is entirely feelings based, so take it with a grain of salt, but I remember vividly the threads on /pol/ at the start of the Ukraine war, and there being still some sense of community then.
There was one Anon who flashed 'niggers tongue my anus' in morse code from his car at a camera that was streaming from the main square in Keev.
If I had to give a reason, I think bot technology has become far better over the last few years.
Though it was never my main board, /pol/ posting quality has dropped off a cliff in recent years, even noting that it wasn't high to begin with.

I've said it before in this thread but it feels like we're hitting a critical mass of malicious posters. People who don't want to discuss the board topics, people who hate the userbase, etc. They go there to shill some way of thinking, or some product, or even to autistically spam the same (usually off-topic) thread. The site has always had trolls and schizos but normal users are leaving and it's throwing the ratio out of whack. I don't browse /pol/ regularly but it's one of the worst in this regards. It's very clear that most posts are made by people that want to shit up the big bad 4chan politics board. Occasionally some event will be big enough that certain threads feel like there's an influx of older posters, but those are becoming increasingly rare. The retards running the site won't do anything of course. Most of them probably hate the userbase themselves, or they're too retarded to see that turning the whole site into different flavors of modern /b/ is a bad idea. Even if they did care, I'm not sure it would be enough. I wish the soyteens had killed it or at least done enough damage that Hiro let go of it or purged Rapeape.

I'll say once again, the fact that places /a/ and /v/ are full of generals shows that the mods don't give a fuck about the rules, and normal people are leaving it behind. Only unhinged losers try so hard to make their board a chat room.

Current 4chan mods are literal redditors. Now that reddit has started purging the "power mods," it's going to get even worse, because those faggots are going to invade the 4chan mod "community," which is completely different than the people who actually post there in good faith.

Idyllic days when this was an accurate parody of 4chan mods.

They're much worse now.

/pol/ somehow gets worse every time I look at it, it's all eceleb seethe, eurofag seethe, demoralization/woman hate/blacked threads, groyper astroturfing, 1ptid jeets trying to steer people to their social media engagement farms and more. A peek into /pol/'s eternal decline is always a reflection of how shitty the rest of the site is becoming.
