4K Camcorder Recommendation - Looking for a GoPro knockoff

I'm looking for a miniature 4K camcorder in the vein of a GoPro, but am too cheap to buy an actual GoPro. Does anyone have any recommendations? Preferably something with a port for an external microphone.

I'm in a similar boat. Looked at a gopro but they need a not shit phone, windows 10, and a bunch of other aids. Any particular ones to suggest for peaceful purposes? Being able to off-road with it or whatever would be neat but not needed, just need a decent 4k that just works like a normal digital camera.

Look up models on Amazon that seems interesting, then put the model names/numbers into youtube, there's a lot of people reviewing low-price no-pros (often with hundreds of views per video) and explaining what the cheap models are doing to be cheap(like just upscaling the video). With sample video footage of course so if it looks good enough, then buy that one.

Idk the hero 6 really isn't too expensive if you're looking for that kind of thing. In fact it really just goes up from there with a lot of Sony and Panasonic products.
