Trolls confuse Chris. Kinda in the same way that gay men confuse Chris. Chris cannot fathom why a person would find men attractive. He doesn't find them attractive, so how could someone else? Even women, he can't understand why women find men attractive. He humors straight women, but I don't think he really believes them when they say they like men.

Chris' lack of theory-of-mind is something that's brought up a lot to explain his behavior, but honestly, most of the time, there are simpler explanations. But when it comes to those two things (homos and trolls), it matters a lot.

When it comes to trolls and why he's trolled, Chris cannot perceive how fucking weird he is, at least not in the way that it's obvious to all of us. So he has to find alternative explanations for their behavior.

He's all about sympathy and empathy and understanding other people's emotions nowadays (therapy is probably responsible for this), so he's trying his best to understand the trolls. But he really can't.

So nowadays, I think his current explanation is that we're all sad victims of abuse or some shit.

In the US, the title "therapist" isn't really regulated the same way that doctor or lawyer is. You don't necessarily need to have any degree, or sometimes not any formal training at all. That's the case with Chris' therapist.

But yeah, a "real" therapist.

To add to your point, the Lesbian Sleepover Party, which was such a pathetic, half-assed attempt at getting his own harem that it only could've only been Chris that would do it.

I do wonder: How does he explain some of his actually female catfish, or in his eyes are people like Kacey just not trolls but instead coereced by those darn mean pimple-faced twolls?

A little bit of "oh, that's just how they are sometimes" and "they were made to do it". In that Sonichu issue where Hanna went out with Chris as a joke, Chris wrote it so it was her "friends" and her "boss" that put her up to it. On the other hand, videos like "Chris Chan on Women" seem to indicate that Chris kind of understand that women can be mean, but it's okay for them to be for some weird reason (psstt...it's because he wants china).

I don't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure this was the result of @Marvin breaking into Chris's house and lacing Chris's fanta with some PCP. Don't quote me or call me to testify though.
