Chris looks like he plopped down on a walkway with an active table next to him so I imagine a ton of people saw Chris doing this but not everyone wants to stay and watch some weird guy sob on the floor. It seems the people who stopped to record did so purely because they knew it was Chris.

I mean, do you know a lot of people who DO want to be doxxed? I've read the whole thread (getting back from a long day so im :late: as fuck on all this), and aside from CJ apparently mentioning Clyde Cash, there honestly doesn't seem to be a link pointing to him being the reason TMG booted Chris. A cringelord? Sure! But why are they getting doxxed? I might have missed something, but I'm not really seeing the usual reasoning for a good ol' Kiwi Crusade.

That may be true for some group homes/assisted living/supported accom places, but definitely not for all. I have no idea what Virginia's are like, but some places do a pretty fucking good job of pushing/helping residents to be independent, pursue interests, work, etc. (Powerlevel, i guess, but whatever...) My job often involves dealing with those places, and I've seen people way, way worse than Chris, behaviourally and mentally, turned around by decent support (but the funding situation I deal with is probably pretty different to Chris's options, so idk)

I've always had the impression that people calling for it are talking about the group homes with 24 hour professional care that have half the residents in bicycle helmets. All the support in the world isn't going to help someone that's never spoken an articulate word and shrinks away screaming if someone gets close. Severe autism is a extremely debilitating condition. People seem to think that level of autism is the same as Chris being autistic and stupid.

There's a world of difference between that and living somewhere that makes sure you get to your appointments and keeps you from giving your tugboat to Scientology (I'm intentionally oversimplifying here because of varying degrees of living/social skills assistance), which is where Chris would be placed. It would have to be 100% voluntary on his part because he simply isn't impaired enough to necessitate government/judicial intervention. Now, some day he might go so far into CWCville that he's crazy enough to have his agency removed, but that's not where he is today.

I knew one autistic girl who was in one. She was mid 20s and worked at a local fast food place (where I met her). She was mentally like a child; totally naive and innocent. Except when it came to sex. She was a huge animal fan. She asked me what my favorite animal was and favorite kind of dog. She then asked if my wife was there, and when she found out I was single, went into thirsty mode. I played it off naively, but other people would probably not do that.

So, a group home would assist her by helping her not be taken advantage of, both financially and sexually.

Maybe it's regional terminology, but it's always been my understanding that apartment with people to help with things is assisted living, people sharing a home with a staff but allowed to wander out to jobs and such is residential facility, and people who cannot independently function is a group home.
