The way he melted down seemed really out of character for him but as Null said I suppose, this is a relatively fresh environment for Chris. Going from a bedroom on your own to a convention full of noise and people wanting selfies is a big jump. Let's just hope Chris listens to the personal space talk, conventions have been hot on this type of behaviour in recent years.

Wouldn't that imply that Chris never lears and never changes (late I know)? He is what, like 36 years old now and the expectation is that he doesn't learn and you should expect spergy behavior out of him.

He is a 40 year old man who:

• appears to see himself as a feminine cutie-pie of age 14 or so
• has a "psychic link" with a cartoon dimension that serves as fantasy escape from a life of "stress" that includes no work or responsibilities
• has been tricked repeatedly by trolls with the same terrible stories
• has no real understanding of how normal people socialize
• prays to cartoon goddesses from a video game
• watches youtube videos to cure his autism, give himself psychic powers, grow bigger breasts, grow a natural vagina, and so on.
• is constantly bothered by trolls, cyberbullies, and haters.
• was raised by two people who may have been stupider than him

But, nah, you right. He will eventually grow out of mental retardation, being brought up by negligent parents, and constant harassment.

I don't doubt that his remorse here is more that he is not allowed to have fun than any concern for others, but he still is a dumb autistic tranny who is not trying to cross any lines. Inviting Chris requires the organizers or whomever sent the invitation to keep him on a pretty short leash. He is not dangerous, but can easily be a nuisance.

Chris rarely "lies". That is, intentionally says something he knows to be false.

However, Chris has a very malleable sense of reality. His view of the world is like a funhouse mirror. And the thing is, he's not really aware of it. Chris very earnestly believes extremely bonkers stuff about the world.

You can predict Chris' behavior a lot better if, instead of asking "is Chris lying?", you ask "how/why does Chris believe this to be the truth?"

Look, with autists, it's all about what habits you instill in them as a parent, which they absorb unconsciously and slowly over time, in Chris's case, I assume Barb is the one who spent time with him, and I have a feeling that a lot of his more fucked-up tendencies are her doing, whether she knew about that or not.

Also, consider that he only recently gave a peck to one of the two kids that visited him in that recent video, so he probably got used to it beforehand.

I think you're confusing how Chris lies with just making shit up. I've rarely seen Chris lie and make shit up to manipulate people. When Chris lies he's covering his ass like saying that he ran five miles and then saying that he meant hehe could run 5 miles. He's not some master manipulator.

Do you really need to warn a grown man not to grope other con goers? How is it fucked up that he was kicked out for getting handsy without warning (or with a Facebook warning)?

It's not like he hasn't been warned many times before. I could almost individual hyperlink each letter in that sentence with instances of Chris crossing boundaries.
I get that this is Chris and we know and expect this behavior. BUT he wasn't invited to KiwiCon, where everyone there is going to be expecting certain behavior, where a warning of not getting too comfortable is appropriate.
