I remember having to deal with pieces of shit like this guy when moderating childrens social games in the early - mid 00's, and stories like this never fail to make me fucking furious. The shit they do behind closed doors is unspeakably horrific, and nothing you read online will ever be able to frame just how awful they actually are. Because they're incredibly selective in choosing victims who are already vulnerable, they work their way into assuming complete dominion over the kids they exploit, and they put them into a position where they make them terrified to do anything other than what these monsters tell them to do. If you can think of the worst shit imaginable, times it by ten, and that's what they're doing to extort sexually explicit material from children. I have countless horror stories about this type of shit, people don't realise how deeply organised things actually are with these people. There are plenty of them actually working in the same sort of position I did as well, so please, for the love of God, watch what your kids are doing online and do not trust the virtual babysitters. Keep them the fuck away from things like Roblox, Runescape, Habbo Hotel, Minecraft, Discord, or anything else similar. Despite them being commercial products primarily aimed at children, background checks aren't always done on the people moderating these spaces. Be proactive in keeping your kids the fuck away from this stuff.
The sad reality is that there's literally thousands of these subhuman freaks who have been doing this exact sort of shit online for the better part of 25 years now and no amount of prison time will ever deter them. I don't see an ethical way to deal with people like this, barring just straight up shooting them against a wall like a rabid animal or something. You can't rehabilitate these people, they're a drain on tax payer money and no amount of punishment will stop them from wanting to abuse children.
The UK government keeps giving new identities to Venables, despite the fact that he sexually abused and killed a child in his youth, and later went on to get arrested for possession of CSAM not once, but twice. To this day, posting a picture of or/and sharing up to date info about the guy, or even suggesting that someone else does so is legally punishable in the UK. They actively protect these disgusting freaks at the tax payers and victims expense. Complete fucking joke.
