Then, when other similarly-sounding incidents started to turn up nation-wide, those also were brushed aside, and the whole thing was labelled the "Satanic Panic," and was touted as crazy Christians seeing devils down every dark corner and jumping at shadows. The thing is, though, they DID find the tunnels. There's now documented evidence they found the tunnels, and found satantic pentagrams within said tunnels. They then lied and said no such thing existed:
