It's bizarre seeing 764 being covered in this way. A podcast literally titled "Inside 764", going through some fairly generic details of the background of the group - to me, it comes off as presenting the entire thing as some kind of true crime anecdote or abstraction for a broader set of problems.

764 isn't just a catch-all term for a massive recent phenomenon online. It is a group made up of specific individuals on particular platforms. It exists right now in a very describable and specific way, and it has since its formation.

This kind of sensationalism around the group that I've seen building up over the past year is really off-putting. Literally the only people who have gone "Inside 764" who are not from extort com or edgesphere are us, the feds, maybe a handful of other groups. And to be frank we've kind of fallen off since the early days of this thread of posting shit daily directly from Tele.

Anyone who creates an entire PODCAST exclusively dedicated to talking about 764, while really not knowing much about how it actually functions or what it "is" at its essence today just isn't approaching this topic in good faith. Basically the only general audience facing person that is good at talking about this is BX, and even she isn't really perfect. Anyone who presents these retards as scary SINI5T333R Satan worshippers just really isn't helping at all. You're just giving them exactly what they want - to be feared rather than to be seen as losers.

Once you get used to seeing and interacting with them, and you stop caring about the horrific aspect of it, you quickly realise that this is literally some random ESL monkeys, pajeets and pedolarps on Discord and Telegram, nothing more. It exists right now, in a very particular form, it isn't hard to access, and it isn't impressive or scary.

I think it's a good thing that normies are being introduced to the concept. Mass awareness in whatever form should equate to less children being harmed and more police intervention, plus I enjoy seeing smug Snopes tier bullshit about the Satanic Panic getting btfo. I don't see the harm in them not knowing the autistic minutiae, that's for LEO to figure out

Highly disagree with this sentiment. The way it is covered massively impacts the group(s) influence over the wider world. Tubers and the media presenting them as scary evil satanists instead of neglected brown children and molested pedos will only make other potential edgelords see it as cool and want to join in. I'd rather the feds just take them down covertly on the back end, with us autists archiving and reporting what is really going on. Some guy making some uninformed podcast does nothing to actually help the situation. What the public need to know comes out in reports on arrests, not some 10 hour video essay constantly showing the slick edits they make and saying how SVINISTER they are.

I do think it is imperative that normies begin to understand how far and how completely the Internet can reach into their homes and harm their children. (if they even give a shit)

I'd like to think she's well-intentioned but it honestly doesn't matter since I think the main issue here is that a lot of these more mainstream 'anti-com' personalities generally come off as gullible and unprofessional, to say the least; I definitely feel like the larpers actually enjoy receiving this kind of coverage to an extent.
