It's supposed to be a gender neutral form of Latina / Latino.

Well. It makes sense. Phil/Ahuviya already changed his name once. Let's not forget his race and his gender.

I'm just dissapointed that he went with "Rosa". From all the Spanish names you could go for, the word for "rose" is the best you could do?
If he knew anything about Latinamerican and/or Spanish literature, he could build a cool name just from famous women characters.

In Phil's case it's bigotry. He used to have a Jewish fetish so he changed to a Hebrew name but now that he's a Jew hating Palestine supporter he has to drop his previous name.
