I personally would recommend an AmiiBrick for displaying any of the Sonichu, Rosechu or CWC custom figures. I am satisfied with them.

The AmiiBrick is good; it functions as stated; my Amiibo figures fit snugly into the bricks, and the bricks attach well onto my Lego plate and bricks.

All in all, for a good method of storing/displaying your original and/custom Amiibo figure(s), I would personally recommend one or more AmiiBricks, so they would be less likely to fall off or out upon impact.

There is room for slight improvement to make them more flat on the sides. And the top portion can be better flattened and the pegs aligned to better make that sandwich between a 2X2 or a 2X4 on top, the brick(s) or plate on the bottom, and any bricks around the putter sides of the AmiiBrick.

Shit. I thought Chris bricked his Wii U. (if you don't get the reference, that isn't my fault)

Edit: And no, I'm not talking about what he did to his PS3

Does he mean fall out once they're already part of the lego set? What the hell does he do with his lego sets that warrant him recommending impact-resistance?

I too wonder what the fuck he's talking about. Maybe he rage throws his Amiibos when he loses games, and when they're in the Lego thing he chucks all of it. Chris has problems the rest of us never will know.

Nah, Chris would never damage Amibos. He has too much goddamn pride in their worthless existence in general to do such a thing.

This item seems completely superfluous and unnecessary. Am I missing something?

I bet Chris is really wringing his hands over not having come up with the Amiibrick. Frankly, I'm also surprised he didn't figure out how to make such a useless, frivolous item out of Lego and attempt to sell it.

I was wondering the same thing. Impact with what? Is Virginia earthquake prone and I never heard about it?

If I am selling something like that on Etsy I would actually pay Chris to NOT plug my product, because the intersecting demographic of the Lego, Amiibo, and Sonic communities is extremely likely to be aware of that guy.

Those Amiibo stands look like they're custom molds that you can just stick on to existing Lego. Its not a bad idea if you're a lego fan autistic. I'm not surprised Chris gravitated towards these as his choice of stands.

Also these things are like 20 dollars each. That's ridiculous.

I can sort of see the appeal of this...to an incredibly narrow market as outlined in the product's own description:

Play with the Amiibos on custom built replica Smash stages. Balance could be an issue with some of them, making just putting them on the lego platforms more awkward vs. having a stud-compatible base that will firmly lock them down.

Otherwise, it sounds like a guy who made these for playtime with his little brother decided to throw 'em up on etsy to see if he could milk a few bucks out of 5 minutes spent on Google Sketchup or whatever and used a 3D printer - given how enthusiastic OPL is, it's already paying dividends. I suspect we'll be seeing more AmiiBrick pushing soon enough as Lego's Dimensions product is coming out soon. I'm not sure I'm ready to handle OPL encountering Aperature Science so soon...

I bet a trillion bucks we will read about him getting Lego Dimensions next week. He'll spend at least 500 bucks on them. This is sad and predicable for him.
