A Compendium Thread?

Hey guys.
Some of you have seen me around and given my posts appropriate ratings.
I'm making this thread to settle some of my confusion and curiosity. I understand much of the surface but there are a few things that escape me. Call me lazy, call me an idiot, you're probably right.

First off, the other ratings that aren't immediately available: I see at most eight, and I've noticed some people use ratings that aren't visible on the immediately visible list. How does one access them? Are there requirements to using some?

Next, Chat and the off-Topic subforum. The Off-Topic subforum seems to be off limits, and Chat is nowhere to be found. Again, likely for good reason, but could I be filled in as to what the requirements are for accessing them?

You gotta be a FULL MEMBER to use the Drink! rating. To be a Full Member, Send your sheckles to Null! Likewise, The ratings of NICE MEME, PRESS ONE and PRESS TWO are only availble on specific forums!


As for Off-Topic, you need to be around here more to access it. I think its give enough ratings or have more then ten posts, although that may have changed.

I think to access chat you have to have like 20 posts/10likes. Can't remember what let's off topic be unlocked. And what ratings are you talking about? What have you received as far as ratings that is invisible to you?

New users can't access Off-Topic, Chat or negative ratings. Some ratings are specific to certain forums (press 1/2, nice meme) and Drink! is only available to moderators and supporters on certain forums.

Last I've checked you needed 10 posts and 20 positive ratings and 3 days to access such things. Keep posting and don't be retarded and you'll get access eventually.

I've seen "Dumb" used and I can't find that one. I've used "Press 1" already, so I analyzed that mystery already.

Dumb, late, off-topic and A-Log fall under the category of negative ratings. At one point new users weren't able to give ratings at all, but now only negative ratings are restricted.

Off-topic was originally neutral, its access to new members must not have been adjusted since it became a negative rating.
