It's October and autumn, both excellent times for all things cozy. What are your favorite cozy things? Books, media, things to snuggle with, food and drinks, etc.

Personally, some of my favorite cozy things about autumn is getting to break out my hoodie and jackets from storage, taking drives and seeing the changing leaves, and getting a fancy coffee drink to enjoy while sitting outside. I don’t really like pumpkin spice lattes, but a nice mocha or Chai are really lovely on a cool, sunny day.

Nothing beats a warm drink of your choosing on a brisk autumn morning, ultra mega comf

ngl living in the foresty parts of Washington in Fall and Winter is prime comfy. Like I'm talking where Twin Peaks is supposed to be.

It's finally cool enough to wear my thick, fuzzy pjs and fluffy socks. Also, gonna rewatch Over the Garden Wall a bit closer to Halloween.

I know it’s weird, but I actually change the lightbulbs in my lamps to have a more orangish glow and store away the fluorescent white ones I use in summer. It just sets such a nice autumnal mood and it makes me happy :) Also, homemade cider makes everything better.

My pajama pants and fuzzy socks, making chicken soup and hot chocolate, curling up with a blanket and watching movies, or just napping. Being all snug and warm on a cold grey autumn day is the best.

I was never a big fan of pumpkin, but as of recent years I have come to like pumpkin muffins, especially if they have chocolate chips in them. Sometimes I'll also make tea.

Making pumpkin mead with a honey and pumpkin from a local farm. I usually make it late at night while watching a horror movie.

Made a huge batch of chili yesterday, and this morning had bacon, shrimp cocktail and Bloody Marys. I wear sweats with fleece lining and keep the screen door open for the crisp fresh air. Warming up some homemade chicken noodle soup just now, and ordered a bronze heritage turkey this morning for Thanksgiving from the local butcher. I'll throw pumpkin pie spice into my coffeemaker a little later before the Packer game. Intermittent napping throughout the day guaranteed.

eta: also broke out the weighted blanket with minky soft duvet cover. MAXIMUM SLEEP.

I fucking love autumn.

My dog, once the weather gets cool, loves to burrow under all my blankets and sleep on my feet. It's like having a furry hot water bottle. It will be his favorite napping spot until spring.

I like wrapping myself in a blanket on the couch with my laptop and headphones.

October and November are my favorite months because I genuinely enjoy working in my garden and this is the best time of year for it. I mostly grow various types of peppers and citrus but I have a few ornamental plants too.

Even during summer I like hiking but I’ll go on longer ones in autumn.

Because where I live it’s still relatively warm nothing beats Unsweet Iced Tea but the Filipinos import a bunch of Calamansi this time of year which goes very well with it. So I go hit up Asian Groceries.

I like mist and fog and earlier sunsets. The way street lights look through droplets. Getting lost outside without freezing to death or getting exhausted from the heat. Glühwein. Chrysanthemums. Gloves. Monastery ambience playlists. Cheap horror novels. Late night cinema. Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes.
