A-List Stars Sign On For ‘Drag Isn’t Dangerous’ Telethon

Charlize Theron, Jesse Eisenberg, and Amy Schumer are the latest stars to sign on as guests for the upcoming Drag Isn’t Dangerous telethon.

The event, which will raise money for LGBTQ+ causes and drag performers, is scheduled for May 7 and is amassing a genuinely impressive roster of stars, all of whom are putting their foot down against the rising tide of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation sweeping the nation.

Their support is certainly needed. According to the HRC, as of February “340 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have been introduced in statehouses across the country. 150 of those would specifically restrict the rights of transgender people, the highest number of bills targeting transgender people in a single year to date.”

Along with Theron, Eisenberg, and Schumer, Leslie Jones, Margaret Cho, Ts Madison, Whitney Cummings, Marcia Gay Harden, Wilson Cruz, and Sarah Silverman will all be taking part in the event. They’ll be joined by drag legends Trixie Mattel, Bob the Drag Queen, The Boulet Brothers, Jinkx Monsoon, Trinity the Tuck, Monét X Change, Ginger Minj, Alaska, BeBe Zahara Benet, Eureka O’Hara, and so many more!

“The recent demonization of drag culture has been greatly upsetting and completely shocking to me. I have had the pleasure of getting to know many drag performers, including one of my idols, the incomparable Trixie Mattel, over the past several years,” Eisenberg said in a press release. “Drag artists represent joy and creativity and celebrate the many wonderful ways to be in our society. To attribute anything else to them is appalling and dangerous.”

“Drag is an art form, and art should never be policed. Art is essential to an evolved, free-thinking and democratic society, and any attempt to restrict it is a sign of a declining culture,” said The Boulet Brothers. “We feel it’s important to resist and fight laws like this immediately.”

“The nerve of these disingenuous politicians is unfathomable,” said Silverman. “The number one killer of children is guns and these NRA pawns deflect it with a completely fabricated problem that puts the drag community in danger. The hypocrisy is astounding.”

Alaska added that drag will never be stopped. "Drag is an art form that provides inspiration and empowerment. As soon as you try to define what Drag is, it changes forms and becomes something new. It’s an unstoppable force that cannot be silenced,” she explained.

Drag Isn’t Dangerous is set to air live on Sunday, May 7 on Moment.co. Tickets to view the show are on sale now. Pre-donations are also welcome and can be sent via tiltify.com/dangerous.

I think it has to do with fads. Liberal women are infamous with injecting themselves into movements and treating it as a fad. Remember when gay marriage was a hot topic of the 2010's and nearly every liberal woman was saying she was bi or bi-curious? Then BLM became a thing and every liberal woman was putting BLM in their Twitter bios and telling everyone that they only suck black cock and only wanted black babies. Now drag and trannies are the latest fad and every liberal woman is trooning out her kid and taking them to drag shows in order to get ass pats on social media and be fashionable. I shudder to think what the next fad movement will be with liberal women. Probably pedo rights.

No it will be reverse pedo rights.

The difference between showing kids pictures of diseased genitals in school and drag shows is one serves as education, the other is just grooming faggots prancing around in front of kids.

They show those pictures so you know what kind of damage certain STD's can cause to the genitals.

Only someone as brain dead as AdREEEEEEd REEEEEptor would try to conflate them.

Because they're a retarded, dishonest, tranny and groomer shielding weirdo.

I'm curious where the apologizers being mostly women comes from, universally any of them that claim the fandom isn't sexual pull that routine. I'd have to guess most of them are male or men who want to be women.
Oh there's definitely plenty of male apologizers out there, but from my personal experiences in nerd circles, the ones who tend to deny the sexual component the most are straight women who like the cute, cuddly animal aspects of it. They tend to get pretty defensive when you bring up the darker side of it. There was even one woman on one of Null's early streams who tried to defend the fandom in this manner.

Though perhaps I'm being unfair. Fredrik Knudsen did a history of the furry fandom in one of his Down The Rabbit Hole videos that addressed the protests against the more sexual aspects of the conventions. Several of these protesters were women who would write letters denouncing these practices, so perhaps it's better to say that it's a certain type of woman (a naive, wishful thinking type) who likes to stick her head in the sand regarding these matters.

I think I can provide an answer to that. A lot of these women tend to have grown up in Blue States and were very sheltered by their parents and got most of their understanding of LGBTQ culture from social media and anime such as Yaoi and Yuri. When you show them evidence that LGBTQ culture has a lot of degenerates, that gay couples are more violent then straight couples, that LGBTQ culture isn't lovey dovey and is in fact fast and loose with gays engaging in numerous one night stands and hard drugs, that there is a lot of sex offenders and pederasts in the LGBTQ they stick their heads in the sand because, like cultists, they were raised to believe all these wonderful things about the LGBTQ and these women don't want to admit that they were wrong. Only when things happen to them at the hands of the LGBTQ, like the Trans Widows, do they admit that LGBTQ culture is degenerate.

DRAG. ISN'T. A. SEXUAL. IDENTITY.

What the fuck is wrong with progressives? Why do they reflexively defend any weirdness like they're defending fags getting married? Why do they collectively hallucinate that it's still the 80s and 90s and anyone who isn't straight is being constantly abused in the West? And, again, why do they think drag is a sexual identity?

I hate these mindless people so much. I'll collect my tophats now.
They know trans shit is still unpopular with most people so they're going with the next best thing: drag. It's a perfect trojan horse to sneak grooming in since it's full of gays but everyone's normie mom loves Ru Paul.
Pedos are opportunistic predators. If they have to pray to Jesus, obtain a teaching degree or wear a frilly dress to get easy access to kids, they'll do so. That's all you really need to know about them. That horrifying 90s documentary about NAMBLA gives several chilling examples of this.

As for this drag queen push, it's very telling that a good chunk of the celebs featured in this article are major fag hags. Progressive liberals (especially women) turn a blind eye to the darker side of queer culture (or they just don't give a shit about anything but their own pleasure like Margaret Cho) and think it's all about fun makeup and dancing, when there is a lot of drug and sexual activity behind these drag scenes that are absolutely not safe for children. I knew a few drag queens in my twenties and while some of them were ok guys a fair number of them had criminal records resulting from a history of drug abuse and prostitution. These really aren't the kind of people you want around your kids.

These progressive fag hag types remind me a lot of the female furfags who would always engage in furry apologetics whenever their community was attacked, even though we have ample evidence on this board of the fucked up stuff that goes on at their conventions. They put on blinders and claim it's all about cute, harmless cartoon animals when reality has shown us otherwise. Children don't belong in these scenes.

Parents are justified in their concern about the growing push to expose their children to this stuff, as this is one of many examples of children being sexualized for profit. Back in my day it was thongs for little girls and now we have S&M-style outfits and raunchy ass drag queens teaching little boys how to twerk to sickos. I don't care if this makes me sound like a prudish old lady. I'm fed up with this shit and I'd gladly sacrifice the queer "community" for the sake of protecting children if it ever has to come to that.
I'll never understand why so many women become such fervent faghags. Even 'normie' straight moms.

There are several reasons for this:

1. The women think they're cute and want to be the ones who "convert" them to heterosexuality.
2. The women want to hang out with people who have the ambition and dynamism of men, but the herding psychology and general interests of women.
3. The women see fags as dancing monkeys who perform for their amusement.
4. The women want to be seen as Progressive.
5. The women think gay men are precious and adorable.
6. The women see gay sex through the lens of TV and anime romance, which paints Yaoi as a pure love untainted with the burden of pregnancy and domestic drudgery.
7. The women have no idea what gay sex is really like and think it's just like hetero sex, but with more naked abs.

Pretty much no one thinks desmoundisamazing is OK. Except his mom of course

And the people who watch him. And give him money. To dance for them.

But nice dodge. "Grooming children never happens. And when it does, nobody is okay with it. Because it never happens, right?".

Here, let me spell it out for you:

It's not, fundamentally, about "drag queens reading to children". It's about drag queens, in their drag queen persona, reading to children. For all this place's high-minded moralizing about degeneracy, most people would admit that sexual kinks and fetishes are common enough that you can't exactly hang everyone who isn't just doing straight missionary sex for procreation. If they scrubbed the pancake makeup off and took off the g-strings and shit, and it was "Ed Thomas Story Hour", far less people would be complaining.

Drag, despite what the apologists want to make people believe, is an adult performance art. Its closest analog is burlesque performance, which is also not generally considered all-age appropriate. Now, yes, it's true, many drag performances, individually, are entirely PG-rated, but the artform is rooted in adult entertainment.

Imagine if someone started "Stripper Story Hour". A stripper can leave their clothes on and still be PG, if flamboyant and provocative - much like drag artists can be. And certainly there are things like pole dancing being promoted as a fun way for women to get fit, so you can make the argument that all exotic dancing is not sexual, but I don't think anyone would argue that "Stripper Story Hour" would be appropriate, even if they didn't get naked.

There's only three reasons to read to children in drag as opposed to, you know, just reading to children. And none of them are good.

  1. It's a fetish for the people doing it, they get some direct erotic thrill from performing, either for the public in general or for children specifically, depending on just how bad the fetish is.
  2. It's an attempt to get children - and more generally, the public - okay with adult-oriented activities being rebranded as family-friendly ones.
  3. It's a deliberate attempt to provoke exactly the reaction they're getting - either outrage in general, or social disharmony in specific. Which makes them either trolls or something worse, depending on which it is.
I know I said three reasons, but I suppose the fourth possibility is that they're so far gone that they don't realize what they are doing is seen as offensive and are just genuinely that stupid, but that's almost the worst of the possibilities, so I want to discount it. In any event, the point is there's no reason to be doing the "Drag Queens for Children" bit that's wholesome. If you actually just want to entertain or educate kids, you can do it without incorporating fetishistic elements, and trying to PG-ify adult behavior isn't required.

So;, tl;dr: Fuck your duplicitous, pedopologizing bullshit.

What if I told you some of these women have had gay sex

That would make them lesbians or men.

Lesbian fag-hags tend to be a bit less obnoxious than the other types. There's less of a feeling that they see you as an over-sided doll they want to smoosh up against another doll going "Now fuck!".

“The nerve of these disingenuous politicians is unfathomable,” said Silverman. “The number one killer of children is guns and these NRA pawns deflect it with a completely fabricated problem that puts the drag community in danger. The hypocrisy is astounding.”

I'm very concerned with the gun violence in my community. But the media refuses to address the elephant in the room because they don't want to be called racist. The NRA isn't who you should be worried about. It's the media and politicians who can't get their heads out of the sand because of fear of racism accusations. Most kids aren't being killed by mass shootings by loony incels and pooners. They are being killed in their own communities by criminal activity. They're getting shot by other kids, young adults, and caught in crossfires while walking to school or playing outside.

If you are so concerned about gun violence then aim your ire at the bullseye.

I feel that if we were ever to make real progress in greatly reducing gun violence in urban communities the racism accusations would start to melt away. The problem is what's being done isn't working and no one is trying to find adequate solutions because of fear. The people in these communities know what's really going on. I'm often a little baffled by some of the media coverage and some of the "it's all white supremacy" articles because that's not what I'm hearing locally. I feel like many of those articles aren't coming from a realistic place but rather some offended upwardly mobile person's guilt complex. We're creating our own Hell one click at a time.

This telethon isn't doing anything to address gun violence. It's just parading some drag queens. It won't have any affect at all on anything and is just more hot air being blown around so some B listers can get attention. Thank you once again for doing nothing to help children.
