You can view the EXIF data of your images at Jeffrey's Exif Viewer (URL or upload).

One quick and dirty way of removing EXIF is to convert your image to BMP, save, then convert back to JPG. This will lower the quality of the image, though.

You can also upload it to imgur and link from there. Imgur strips exif data when you upload.

Sobering stuff... I was not that concerned before because I thought if I ever got a thread here, it would be because I deserved one and needed to rethink my life choices, and that if I lied low, and bought curtains and a dog then it would die down from lack of additional lulz. I didn't think about tumblr crusaders who want more than to laugh at eccentric people online... Luckily this username comes up so many times for things I have nothing to do with then that's good, tweaking a few more of my settings now.

Okay, this turned out interesting. Let me make this very simple on anyone who is concerned with getting doxed...

SunLightStreak's guide to Internet Interest Level/Priority Target Level

So you are on a website and people suddenly get enough attention to have people become doxed. As a person who has gathered doxing info on a few cows, let me give you some perspective of a potential doxer.

1. Basically, everyone has a interest level.
This is pretty much a measure of how much attention you gather from the doxer and how much of an interest the doxer has taken in you. When we talk about powerlevel on this website, we are really talking about how much information on yourself you reveal and potentially how vulnerable that information can be in the hands of a potential doxer. Also we are talking about how much of a scene you are making and how much attention you are gathering.

If you are in a thread posting revealing photos of yourself - congrats your interest level just shot up.
Are you creating scenes in threads and/or creating a mess elsewhere online - congrats your interest level goes up.
Post info in one form or another that connects to your personal life - congrats someone might take an interest in that
Are you stealing train parts, urinating in public, admitting your attraction to dogs, mentioning pranking SJW's, talking about your sexual fetish, or a number of revealing tidbits that make people want to know more about you - congrats your interest level really just shot up.

But... If you are just flying below the radar - then you are really not that interesting.
Did you gather data on a cow/sjw/doxer using a proxy, tor, or a fake name account with no ties to your personal life - then you are unnoticed and unseen, i.e. not interesting

2. The next component is your Priority level.
Simply put priority level is about how important you are in a particular situation.

If you are a moderator or other type of member of staff - you are a much higher priority target.
If you are constantly posting in threads relating to certain well known internet figures (Brianna Wu, CWC, ADF, Vade, Shaner, SJW's, MRA's, etc) and are a person who is leading the conversation - you are a high priority target.
If you are posting large amounts of info in these threads - you are a priority target.
If you do not post much in these threads and/or drop in a random one liner in these types of threads - you are
not really a high priority target.

Ask yourself, could the conversation/confrontation/circumstance continue in the same way if you were not a part of it? If the answer is no, then you are a priority. If you answered yes, then you can be ignored and are unlikely to get doxed.

3. You must be Interesting and a Priority to ever be likely to get doxed.
Think of Interest Level and Priority Levels as multiplier effects. Interest x Priority= Chance of getting doxed

If you attract no attention but gather lots of info and have others post it for you. Then there is almost no chance you will get doxed.

If you attract lots of attention and are pretty much harmless to the doxer. Then there is a very low chance you will get doxed.

Did you tell everyone that you love to fuck horses/sheep/various livestock, show a revealing pic of yourself, mention your exceptional FurryPride DA page, while being the discussion leader of a thread dropping embarrassing details about a known SJW/cow/MRA/other figure - congrats even the kiwifarms.net might be after your ass before too long

In conclusion a key fact in knowing that doxing requires time, effort, and resources that people will expend only if you are worth it.
In order for someone to take the time and effort to dox you; you need to be someone significant enough to warrant it. That means that a person out to dox someone will not waste their time on infrequent posters who are not really creating too much trouble. If they are going to go around the internet looking for you, then it better be worth it. Doxing can take hours and often to gather large amounts of data, it takes going through links and checking leads. To get your address, that can take money or patience to sift through large amounts of public records and white page listings. A doxer has to know there is some reward for all the effort and time they are putting into you.

Shitposters and one liners are not worth a doxing, but powerleveled people and priority targets are.

Knowing how your interest level and priority level allows you to know whether or not you are likely to ever get doxed and how much of a distance you need to make between your Kiwi Farms profile and your real life.

Hmmm, had not considered xif data. Deleted the only photo I linked here from my photobucket. It was also in the now-hidden (deleted?) Deagle Nation subforum, but I decided to err on the side of caution. Thanks for the heads up, Null!

EDIT: I don't upload things to the internet much anyway cuz of all that stupid metadata crap.

I'm reading what @Jaimas and @Dynastia said and damn, I respect 8chan's /baph/ more than I do these SJW asshats.

I think one suggestion about usernames is to use a common word, such as "Dow Jones" or "Hoover" or a popular cartoon character etc. That way instead of finding you they find pages on that word instead. At least that's what I do. As for my passwords, honestly, I just right them down in a journal and tuck it away somewhere where no one can find it but I don't have to worry too much about people finding my passwords because I actually don't get any visitors here and there is no one else that uses my computer.

Edit: I am not tech savvy so I don't know how to use tor or an anonymizer or Ghostery as someone mentioned.

In the op that null wanted us to read, it was not just tumblr sjws. It was any person. Who we mock here. He literally said he was tired of getting emails complaining.
He just wants us to be careful. This isn't a call to action.

Wait you mean this thread isn't about ethics in vidya journalism?

i have been here for almost 8 months and no one has doxxed me... why i cant be one of the cool guys? (:_(

jokes apart, i already knew all of this so the only thing that is out there is my name, the address i always use is from a P.O Box that doesnt exist anymore and a phone number from a random shop in miami, i have a facebook but i never use it because facebook is cancer (fucking 10000 invitations to farmville gaddamit)

and even in the terrible terrible day that someone doxx me they are going to find a empty lot because last time i updated my real address in the internet was 6 yeas ago hurray for lazyness

i dont fight against sjw and all the lolcows i know are or to lazy to even get out of their houses or to poor to even try something dangerous

But everyone knows Tumblr literally murders Kiwis with dox every day and would have all our heads on stakes if they could. Don't forget to browse behind a Tor and seven proxies.

Reposting from OP.

EDIT: If you change your email address to a temporary email you won't get a confirmation email and will be locked out of your account because it puts your account in an invalid state until you verify the email. I have 200 temporary email address sites blocked. Your email address is not a doxxing vulnerability because only staff see it.

Stop locking yourselves out of your fucking accounts you fucking morons.
