A new political party in America? - Is it a pipe dream?

They represent the two sides of politics to the extreme. Democrats do everything they can to destroy Democracy and Republicans do everything they can to destroy the Republic.

I am unsure when or if there will be a new political party. A current trend from Republican politicians is running as independent as they disagree with Doland Trump's policies or are apprehensive of losing their seats if they are affiliated with the president in any way. That being said, the Democrats also have much infighting between "The Left" and whatever the rest are. For the Democrats, it can be rather troublesome to retain a political party together, when the ideology they are exhibiting themselves as is a "big tent" political party. I am unsure of the current trend in the next generation being elected into the office of where things will head from there. The current trend by the four junior senators has been rocky between anti-semitism, scandal in their election, or voting on policies like the Green New Deal that is half-baked.

For Republicans, I do see younger people in the party taking a stance on issues either to be nationally affiliated within political discourse as a future politician. For example: caring about the environment. Younger Evagaligical Christians are less keen on supporting a government with their religion, especially if the government does not support their church dogma at a later point, and time.

I am not sure there will be a split unless the Republicans and Doland Trump can win the 2020 Presidential Election, along with seats in the house and senate; The Democrats losing the upcoming election would truly bring them at a crossroads, where major fractures have taken place on bills they tried to pass this year alone.

It could happen if the news allowed it happen, but they won't, too much money/bias in just covering the two big ones /only inviting them to most debates.
