It's only a necessary intermediary step towards something much less free than the lockdowns were. Through "climate", which is defined in such a way to guarantee control over every facet of production and life, the path to the new normal has to go through a phase where the majority accepts lockdowns towards a much less free type of living that lays beyond lockdowns.

You can't get from A to C, but you can get from A (liberal western society) to B (temporary lockdowns society) and later from B to C, which would be the real new normal that we're still heading towards. We're just being given a bit of respite rn, to sap united strength.

Social credit scores, social score instead of currency, tiny houses, travel only as a privilege, it's all waiting for you.

I hate it too but some of us cannot fight it because of the state of one's nation. US has the freedom to either abide or not abide the lockdowns. But imagine living in some shitty once-colonized area like Myanmar and you have no voice against it. Either you follow the lockdown or suffer in prison or bullet.

I want off this ride.

Is there anyone on this site who is still enough of an NPC to deny or not understand this? Seems doubtful.
There’s a pro vax and pro lockdown thread on here where they snip and snap at anyone who disagrees that coronavirus is literally The End of the World As We Know It. I think it’s a discussion thread but I’m unsure the title. I checked it out once, figuring it to be a middle ground between “no lockdowns ever” and “lockdowns all the time” and nope.

Really? That's wild. I'll have to try and find it later.

The truckers were close to getting us up here in Canadistan. But now it's falling away and we're being herded back into our lockdown pods, begging the govt for the very privilege to live lives unless we volunteer to be guinea pigs.

Meh. I usually see a more moderate approach/live let live (outside of a&h), but it seems to be an issue with little middle ground.

Edit (didn’t see there were 2 replies until after I pressed send)
@gang weeder i wish I could remember what the thread was called. Didn’t post on it, wasn’t my business, but it was a helluva read lol. Coronavirus is more polarizing than race I’d say.

i dont like lockdowns unless its under 2 conditions. its never more than temporary and its an actual emergency.
no, a disease that has a .01% chance of killing you isnt a real emergency.
if the disease had like a 30% chance of killing you or something, that makes some sense.
by always temporary, i mean by law, a lockdown can never be more than a certain amount of time, no matter what.
whether it be a week or a month, you cannot extend it and it can never be more than a certain amount of time either.
so like a month hard limit.

That would never be encoded in the law though for fear that we "need" a lockdown of 5 weeks. Oh well fine encode 5 weeks, but no we might need 6 etc etc for gigaMegaEbolaAIDS next time.

Governments worldwide do have such limitations stated in constitutions, they just don't care, carried away by the game of grabpower
