Feedback A way to see replies to a post would be greatly appreciated.

The ability to see replies to a post in order to follow conversation easier like on 4chanx would be a great feature. As it is now the best way I know is going through every single page and searching for replies when there might not be any!

i agree, ive made late posts in fast moving threads answering earlier questions, and it wouldve been nice to see if someones question was already answered.
maybe a single button you can hover over for replies, kind of like how the like button behaves? that way you dont have a bunch of ransom numbers muddying up the page
i just dont know if its possible with how the site is currently programmed

If it were added, it would probably need to be handled differently than the way that 4chan does it. Threads on there that are quite popular tend to have an excessive number of links to replies, making the post excessively vertically long.
Just a button that says "view replies" and opens up a window showing the replies (similar to the Insert Quotes window perhaps?), or it can just open a separate page/tab that does the same.

Modern "forum" software like Discourse has something like this: Below the post is a button to show all the replies directly below the post

and below each reply is a link to jump directly to that reply.

It would be nice to have such a feature to better track individual discussions, but as has already been said, I don't think this is feasible with the current software.

the website can already track and link back to the post being replied to, so maybe it could piggyback off of that? i wonder what kind of load that would put on the servers
