Ordinarily I'd agree with you, but Carter went to rehab five times. And it wouldn't have been some horrendously underfunded, bad-side-of-town, barely staffed and full of homeless, rehab either. He had the money, he had the means, he went for the five star treatment every time. He had all the access to mental health treatment but he chose to chase the dragon instead, and lo, he caught the beast. He had a child that he professed to care for (although that can be debated, given that he named it 'Prince') and all the reason in the world to get his shit together. But he didn't, because he was junkie scum who thought he knew everything.

I'm sure that there are people in the world who are going to think that they lost something, but the only thing they lost was a gigantic parasite.

I think the more important question is, why do they so often die in bathtubs? What kind of emaciated, washed out ex-Nickelodeon star with a chip on their shoulder takes a bath at any time ever? If you're taking a cocktail of drugs why would you waste your valuable high sitting in fucking water?

Some people find warm (or hot) baths relaxing and comforting. And sometimes the ones on drugs get so relaxed they drown.

Yet another argument against manufactured celebrity (only reason he got noticed and got a contract was his brother being in the backstreet boys). That said I have fuck all sympathy for someone who just falls ass backward into that kind of money and fucks it up so badly when so many others struggle and work incredibly hard for nothing and even as kids manage not to become drug addicts. Might be harder to resist when u are a dumbass kid that someone handed millions to but omfg I've met plenty of kids who know how to manage their money and I've seen plenty of child celebrities who did not turn into train wrecks.

As someone who's family has/had addicts in it, there are two types of addicts: The kind who were assholes before, and the kind who were assholes after.

Carter and Bam were assholes before. Just shitty people made shittier by addiction. But Steve-O was a good guy made shitty BY addiction.

Addiction destroys your mind in ways you never thought possible. Once saw somebody start shanking his own couch cuz he thought his girlfriend was cheating on him, and the dude was hiding in the cushions.

I'm apathetic on Aaron and Bam, but Steve-o has turned his life around, and genuinely seems to be a better person. He has my respect

As we saw today, some people never get clean.

I’ll be honest, I’m glad Aaron is dead. He won’t be able to hurt any more puppies. Plus he’s a pedo and all pedos deserve to die.

I'd say so- considering all those years ago, the sister, Leslie died from an OD, and now this. The whole family is a mess.

What a fog the early 2000s have become. I remember when girls in my elementary school got someone to play a full album during a before-summer-vacation event, this shit was inescapable. But now that he's dead, just proves that being a kid and a star is a pretty effective way to die young.
