Boy killed in Port Lincoln garbage truck incident named
MAY 11, 2021

The 13-year-old boy who was killed in a tragic garbage truck accident in Port Lincoln has been named, with his family paying tribute to the “cheeky” child with a “big imagination”.
Spencer Benbolt Junior, 13, was asleep in an industrial bin early on Tuesday with two other boys - aged 11 and 12 - when it was being emptied during a scheduled collection.
As the bin was lifted, one boy managed to jump out and avoided being injured, but the other two, including Spencer, were tipped over as it was lifted into the truck.
The child who escaped, 12, began banging on the truck door to alert the driver.
Emergency services were called just after 5.20am to the Repco car park, next to a McDonald’s drive thru, on Liverpool Street.

Spencer, who was known as Budda, suffered serious injuries and died at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics trying to save him.
On Tuesday his aunty read out a statement to 9 News Adelaide on behalf of the family.
“Spencer always had a close relationship with his parents, brothers and grandmothers, who he loved and adored,” the statement said.
“He loved hunting, fishing, camping, was a cheeky boy who had a big imagination.”
9 News reported Spencer had been staying with friends recently.

A statement from SA Police said the truck driver was not aware the boys were in the bin and was “extremely shaken” by the incident.
He was taken to hospital to be assessed.
South Coast Local Service Area officer in charge Paul Bahr addressed the media later, saying the surviving boys were “traumatised” by what had happened and it would take time to get more details from them.
“The background as to how they’ve ended up in this industrial bin is something that’s really going to take some time to understand,” Superintendent Bahr said.
“It will be a strong part of the coronial investigation that we’ve begun.”

He said the boys were not classified as homeless and had “places to stay … with beds they could sleep in”.

The abos won't like news.com.au showing a picture of the deceased, especially without a trigger warning, that being a well-known taboo and all.
I expect this to get edited soon.

Edit: Fixed the pics and archive

Poor kiddo, honestly.

The kid's already death and in a better place, I hope, but the driver is the one who's gonna get a rough time, not just for the cancellation but due to the guilt despite it wasn't his fault. You don't get back normal from something like this, I hope he gets help.
Yeah, I feel for that guy. I'm not a garbage truck driver granted, but I would never have thought that would have been an issue. Poor guy is in for some major PTSD. I really hope nobody tries criminally charging him.

Criminally charging him would be functionally retarded (why the fuck should you be expected to check a dumpster for human beings beforehand) but unfortunately this is australia, the california of oceania.

Bit of an update, :

Hours before the tragic incident, the group of boys had been wandering the town for hours before crawling into the industrial bin to escape the rain and cold, locals told the Daily Mail.
The publication claims the trio stopped off at the nearby Grand Tasma Hotel to ask for water at about 12.30am, with the boys making it clear to some of the locals that they spoke to that they didn’t plan on going home that night.
The group made their way to Port Lincoln’s industrial area where they reportedly tried to seek shelter at a McDonald’s before deciding to crawl into the industrial bin for the night.
One of Spencer’s friends, Holly Puckridge, told 7News he had asked to “stay with us for a couple of days and we let him sleep over”.
Mother Jess Bettoncelli said her 12-year-old son often hung out with the group and with join them in sleeping outside services stations and at local sporting grounds.
“He’s very shaken up, he’s I think confused,” she told the outlet.
“He’s I guess wondering and suspecting that that could have been him last night.”

This is Jess Bettoncelli and presumably her sons, who she lets roam the town at night and is totally cool with them sleeping rough despite being 12 fucking years old:

That's really fucking sad, but having grown up around aboriginal people, I can almost guarantee that he was escaping an abusive household.
All jokes aside, it'll take a major overhaul of the current system to actually improve the lives of our indigenous people, but the government (and the left wing) would rather use stupid band-aid solutions like "acknowledgement" statements at functions than actually tackle the problem.
What kind of overhaul do you think would help?
I kind of get that, but kids in those situations still usually have more options than trash bins. In burgerland if nothing else they'll hang out in abandoned buildings or random spots in the woods. Or do Aussies not have abandoned buildings or woods?
Can they not go to some kind of official shelter for abused kids? Can they not call CPS? Poor kids.. :(

Nothing but a full on fucking purge is going to fix them. They are dumb, have no forward thinking skills and have totally embraced the gib me day culture. Prison isn't even a bad place to them cause all their family is here and they get fed and bathed regularly.

What remains of their family structure, generally grandma is the parent while the actual parent provide food and shit (which obviously doesn't happen now lol), isn't helping because half of them are in foster homes because their entire extended families are absolute garbage.

They also despise the African immigrants and refugees because it contradicts how how they feel whitey keeps em down cause of them being black but the Africans are darker and generally are socially functional and integrated.

TLDR nothing will fix them.

There's so much underneath this story. The logic of sleeping in a bin, why children are bumming around alone in the city at midnight, and why they aren't at home, and why nobody gave a shit about them being out. This isn't a one time freak tragedy, it's inevitable.

I would have to agree with other info in this thread, though. They are pretty academically sus and most aboriginal children are born into households of substances, neglect, and abuse.

We have bins of a similar nature where I am.
Massive warning signs on them warning people not to sleep in them.
Pressing F.

Edit typo
Damn, my parents used to own an apartment complex with several bins like this and not even cats wanted to sleep inside. They would try to forage for food, bur they weren't dumb enough to stick around.

They sound like American blacks.

Lol you know your people are fucked when everyone including Pacific Islanders and African/other 3rd world refugees look down on you, your culture and your way of life. I know Americans think their niggers are bad. Abos are different, but definitely worse. At least every so often you might meet a decent black American.
Anyone who's grown up, gone to school with or had to live anywhere near them knows. Port Lincoln is a small place but it's not classed as a remote community.
I fucking challenge any white Melbournian hipster lib to go and see what it's really like in the country/outback majority boong communities. A week should be enough. No PL but I've known people who have gone out to remote communities full of optimism and to "make a difference", in health and whatnot. After months of seeing daily broken jaws, skulls and limbs on women and kids, literal baby rape and many other horrors, and how noone there seems to give a single fuck, they came back basically saying they're all subhuman and not fit to live on this earth or even deserve to be helped. It is the most powerful blackpill ever, boongpill shall we say.

Yeah, that's been my experience too. It's a fucking nightmare in those communities, and as much as I understand that attitude, I had some really good friends who trying to help their own people. I don't think there'll ever be a solution, but goddam I wish there was.

Umm nope dude, the Cali of Australia is Victoria alone. The rest of Australia is pretty decent for the most part.

As others have said, it doesn't matter how bad things get, shit won't change, and thanks to fucking libtard murrica and BLM, we now have more and more people believing that 'black deaths by cops' is an ENORMOUS problem here too. Whereas it's barely a blip in the ocean compared to other issues, like domestic violence.

We don't have an issue with people sleeping in dumpsters, that's just retarded, drivers don't have time to get out at every dumpster to make sure no one is in it, you can bet that this driver, if he keeps doing his job, will be doing that though, he won't last long if he does.

There is a reason dumpsters have locks, although mainly that's to stop other fuckers from also using it.

Fucking retarded abos and going walkabout!

Oh and although you would think abos would be particularly suited to 'sleeping in the bush', we have way too many things that can kill you, safer to sleep in a dumpster...
