I see lolcows having a formulaic timeline. It starts with their classic era, which is when they're actively ripe for milking and the lulz, and coincides with the start of a bleak era in their personal lives. Then their post-classic era comes at some point, and they both run out of milking, keep a low or much lower profile, and either reform or become depressing people (such as horrorcows) whose lives are actively going even further downhill regardless of moments from that point on that could easily be classic-era and lulzworthy, and then trolling efforts start being looked down upon (looking at you, the idea guys), at least depending on the number or degree of bombshells being dropped on either whose fault it is or why the person is like that. I don't know if "bleak" is the right word or what context to use it in, as Chris-Chan's classic era came many years late into his era of terminal loneliness and isolation, an era that started during the start or early infancy of the Sonichu comic.
