The traffic cam video really doesn't make it obvious, but yeah, the cop was in an extremely fucked situation. His car got peppered, and considering how exposed he was - tried, and failed, to make it to the tree line and out of the line of fire.

I won't be surprised if another similar event might happen again and it could extended to people who think Covid lockdowns also ruined their lives.

I always carry when I'm out of my house, even at work since my work often brings me around junkies, homeless crazies, and the other general lowlife scum of society. If I found myself in an active shooter scenario I'm not going to play the hero. I'm going to move myself away from the sound of gunfire. But if the threat is suddenly in front of me clear and imminent, I'm not going to be a helpless victim. I'm going to fight like hell and fire back if that's my last resort.

According to CNN, the shooter's father called law enforcement before the shooting because he thought his son might be suicidal.

Additionally, CNN is reporting that the police believe the shooter may have been sick or believed he was sick and blamed the illness on the COVID-19 vaccine.

It takes some people years, maybe even decades to realize the totality of how fucked they are. Most people have a "I can fix this, I can change this, I can get better" mentality for most things when something goes wrong, so It might have taken him X amount of time to realize that he cannot fix it, he cannot change it and he will not get better.

Many people are still living in lives that never recovered. They lost their job or wouldn't comply and now they can't get hired because they're white or something. Every passing year makes it more apparent that their life was derailed by forces beyond their control, but not quite beyond the range of a firearm
