There is but it's significantly harder. They have to go after the physical servers themselves.

They're "immune" to censorship in the same way Kiwi Farms is... bulletproof up until the point they start going after infrastructure providers.

Look in your timeline for someone on shitposter. Then click their name and it brings up their profile. Then click this box with an arrow.

Now you are on their instance and can browse around.

Yeah people lament the fragmentation of fediverse, but there's really only a couple of big splits. The biggest, of course, being the trannyverse. Trust me, that split is a good thing. The worst of the WORST of twitter is quaint compared to the horrors that lie on the other side of the Great Wall of Mastadon.

The worst of the WORST of twitter is quaint compared to the horrors that lie on the other side of the Great Wall of Mastadon.

The only thing that really bothers me about the trannyverse split is that there are some instances that do cool shit on the surface (focus on talking about permacomputing or some obscure shit like that) but they get filled with insane troons of all types and turns into some strange hugbox thats not only invite only but uses a whitelist instead.
There's so many Mastodon instances like this it's genuinely depressing.

I've been randomly clicking through instances these last few days and 90% of the content is anime and/or COVID sperging. One minute I'm reading deep conspiracy talk about DNA-altering chips slipped into the vax, then I'm getting an eyeful of anime tiddy. Shit's crazy.

Not saying it's bad, you just have to spend a shitload of time curating followers/disabling repeats (retweets) for specific people until you have a better signal-to-noise ratio. There's interesting content, but it's very, very buried.
