To be fair to Johnny Depp, he quit drugs and booze when he was with Vanessa because he wanted to be a good father to their children. He only got back on the booze and drugs again after he separated from Vanessa and hooked up with Amber Heard, which turned out to be catastrophic..
I'm surprised there isn't a thread about her given her mentally unhinged antics like defecating in his bed as a "prank," punching him in the face while he was lying in bed because he was late to her birthday, stubbing a cigarette out on his face, kicking a door into his head, throwing a can of paint thinner at him, throwing a bottle of vodka at him which severed the tip of his finger, witholding pain medication from him which caused him to have seizures, serving him divorce papers within days of his Mother dying, demanding $50'000 a month even though she was screwing James Franco, Cara Delevingne and Elon Musk while they were married.
He got heavy back into the booze as a means to cope. Still, at least he's released the text messages her parents sent him where they talk about how it was Amber's lawyer's idea to lie about DV so she could keep his condo. Pretty sick, tbh.
He's looking much healthier now. I'd say he looks right for a guy who's 56. To be honest, some of these celebrity "before and afters" have been unfair when people are comparing them to photos that were taken in their twenties.
