Sandler puts in a decent performance once every few years, effectively keeping him from being considered one of the worst actors of all time. The fact that he can put in a decent performance but chooses not to is actually worse. There’s always someone willing to cut him some slack due to Punch Drunk Love but that movie is over 20 years old now.

It can't be overstated how dumb most of the moviegoing public is. I used to work with people who would get extremely excited about seeing movies based solely on them having a cool trailer and staring a famous person that they had heard of. They had no idea what the movie was actually about. I always remind myself that those people are who most movies are made for. I haven't seen any of Sandler's movies since The Wedding Singer, which I liked. But his movies aren't made for me and I can't really be mad at a guy for making a shitload of money by giving people what they want and using it as an excuse to take all of his friends on vacation.

Also, I'm an old fuck and I loved "They're All Gonna Laugh At You" when I was 13.

Probably been said a billion times, he’s in terrible movies but he’s not going to be a lolcow. This thread is probably fit for multimedia at best.

Also I’ve met him and he’s pretty normal nice guy, can’t say that he’s golden, but he never struck me as someone who would make for a lolcow.

Rob Schneider probably deserves his own thread given how he's pivoted to /pol/tard seethe grifting (and can't even do that properly)

Schneider's a fucking moron who owes his entire career to being friends with Sandler. The copy machine guy was a perfect example of the way SNL would take a premise that was mildly funny and should have only been one or two sketches and beat it into the ground until everyone was sick of it*. And he hasn't done anything worthwhile since then.

*Mind you, I consider that era of SNL to be the best since the original run. But when they started milking every character with a catchphrase for all it was worth is when it started to go downhill.

Larry David wrote for SNL. This is where he met Julia Lewis Dreyfus (she was a member of the season where they killed off the entire cast except for Eddie Murphy and Joe Pescapo.

David has talked about how much he hated SNL because what sketches get through the process are the ones that pop during practice in front of idiot tourists, visiting the studio. So naturally these people would only react to shit they had seen countless times before.

I love Rob's "Real Rob" Netflix show because it's so insanely bad. It's like someone watched "Louie" or "Curb Your Enthusiasm", wanted to do a show like them, but doesn't understand the humor of those shows at all.

The only reason to watch I now pronounce you chuck and Larry is to remember what woke culture stole from you. Despite being a film all about "gay rights." You could NOT make a movie about a straight womanizer and a grieving husband faking a gay marriage to scam insurance benefits in today's society without having it be compared to something like what is a woman or lady ballers in this day and age.
