Advice on legality of making a chris chan video game

Hi, I'm new here but love the whole chris chan saga. I wanted to make a fan game that was a simple scroller featuring chris, mary lee walsh, and sonichu. If there is interest, I'll do more. It'd be a simple 3 level game following the first part of the love quest at the college.

-Any advice on the legality of this? (Would take donations)

It's not legal if it includes sonichu stuff, because that infringes Chris' copyrights
