Do we know for fact he and his crew were kicked out of the hotel? Like we’re sure he’s not just cancelling the rally because the turnout for him was not as big as he hoped/expected? That’s something Trump would do and I can tell Nick watches him closely, admires him and has adopted some of his traits.
But if it’s confirmed theyve been kicked out then nevermind. Not saying the turnout was low, either, I have no idea, but it wouldn’t surprise me because it was such short notice.

Interesting if true, I can't see sources about this besides that one site. It would be odd to switch from leather to at the time relatively expensive and in demand synthetic rubber in the middle of a war. Maybe there were some boots produced with rubber soles- as the Navy ones were. But if you're walking a lot in a rubber-uppered boot you definately want it to be the lace-up kind.

I know in the first world war they issued leather sneakers to storm-troopers, because they had to run from trench to trench as fast as they can. This definitely influenced the combat boot they used in the 2nd war.

I think Nick might be intentionally trying to create a trainwreck. There's just no other explanation for making it "free for all" to attend and announcing the location publicly. He's leaving money on the table for the benefit of making his event less secure and 1000x easier to target.

If the venue doesn't kick them out, they will still be swarmed with protesters and people who generally hate Nick, who will shout him down while he's trying to give his speech. That's exactly what happened to Richard Spencer. Nick is putting a big red target on himself without any safeguards. I wouldn't be surprised if groypers start brawling with hate-attendees.

He's stacking the odds against himself as much as humanly possible and at a certain point you have to say it's intentional. The best explanation I can think of is that he wants to be able to point at the trainwreck and say "see, this proves how cancelled I am, I couldn't even give a speech without all hell breaking loose." I hope people see through this and call him out as being too incompetent and politically-unconnected to host a successful event, thus he has resorted to doing this for attention.

His options were:
1. No AFPAC, no press, no attention
2. Small pathetic gathering with no big guest speakers, barely any press because nothing happened
3. Massive fucking trainwreck, press covering the trashfire, "they shut me down because I am the most cancelled man"

Event was a failure insofar as he got #2 even though he was clearly shooting for #3.

He had to make up his speech on the fly (talking about things that happened today or a few days ago, like Michael Knowles' CPAC speech, Kari Lake's CPAC speech, and the Pearl interview) because he was probably planning on getting shut down before delivering a full speech.
