every culture functions on a set of beliefs that we operate under as if they're true even if they're not, that's the inherent nature of a society that permits it to function
our society necessitates that we behave as if everyone is inherently equal until proven otherwise, we know they're not but we approach it as if it is
the issue is that you can't objectively confirm or deny these ideas in science, they're social ideas you permit, like "eh it's not true but let's pretend" and everyone knows it, once you attempt to cement them is when you run into an issue because now you either have to dismantle years and years of politeness by laying out the differences, or make the gentle lie a fact instead of a courtesy and risk people forgetting that it was always just that, an advice on how to operate, not the whole truth

Uh, no. You can absolutely get ChatGPT to refine it's answers based on the back-and-forth with it. "Which African languages have words for "maintenance?" > "No, not 'repair' or 'fix', but the concept of maintenance itself" isn't black magic. Nobody came with an agenda. You genuinely have no idea how LLM architecture works, which is what I assumed based on your "Disagree" reactions way back.

As shown in that video, not knowing how to swim seem to correlate with drowning, but I want to ask the question of: should it?
For an intelligent population, if you are at risk of drowning, and you don't know how to swim, just wear a life jacket? Also, don't jump in the water on purpose.
The more interesting statistic is: of the people in any ethnicity that cannot swim, how many have drown? That cannot be researched realistically. Something a bit easier to find is how many of those who drown did not know how to swim?
I think white people who drown are mostly retards who think that they can swim better than they can, or are shit at looking at weather forecast. I still think it is miles better than jumping in a body of water if you don't know how to swim.

The proportion of people not knowing how to swim can be mostly explained by socioeconomic factors. It is not just having a swimming pool, but also having parents with 1) income that they want to spend to teach their kid how to swim, or 2) schools that have teachers and administrators willing to take their students to a pool (where they could drown, if they play stupid games).

Hockey also has a bigger cost which is a barrier. Same as tennis.
Soccer is, by far, the cheapest one, which is why it is the sport in africa and south america.
The reason for segregation for baseball, however is fully cultural. Pakistanis and indians from the poorest regions can play cricket. There is no monetary excuse to not be able to play baseball
 

In case people haven't seen it. It for are for sure saying this was a suicide. It's insane the news really wants to lend credence to the idea that this was anything else. Honestly kind of disgusting. But hey, at least you get a news story out of it, and some views. Doesn't matter what the consequences of it are.

yes, it refines its answers, but you can't guarantee what it says is true
refinement includes speaking in ways it "thinks" you want and saying things it "thinks" you wanna hear, sometimes it's gonna be the truth, but the firstmost goal is to get it to use it more

it's pretty well known that you can get it to agree with anything if you push it enough
