I wouldn't give them so much credit. Being confused by something requires the capacity for self awareness. There is the self, which is confused, and the situation, which is confusing. People below a certain threshold of intelligence cannot even entertain such a scenario. There is just raw lizard brain reactivity- I see you; I attack you. Tales from ghetto retail, all today:

Black coworker and a Black customer were screaming at each other/chimping out for an entire half-hour about how horrible it was that another Black coworker had quit because she was reprimanded for deciding she wasn't going to appear for her scheduled shift. Apparently being reprimanded for this was an injustice.

(Incidentally, the Black girl hadn't quit immediately. She decided to wait until her next shift, when she and I were the only two scheduled workers, to quit, so I had to do the jobs of 2 people alone for 7 hours! Yay.)

Of the customers who weren't Black, most of them had pretty grim expressions when they came to my register. The store was small, so their yelling was audible throughout their entire shopping experience. In particular, an older Mexican woman who came through the door, only to immediately pause because her path was blocked by these two obese black women gesticulating and yelling at each other. She waited a few seconds before realizing they weren't going to stop for her, and ended up ducking under their arms with a disgusted expression.

Two people banned from the store for stealing came in repeatedly today, both of a particular hue. Before I recognized him and told him to get out, one came to my register and offered to pay for an item for less money than it cost. ??? In what fucking country is it normal to haggle with a cashier?

Black fellow used our restroom, and decided to leave the sink faucet on and a paper towel in the sink. The entire restroom flooded.

Black woman entered the store, gave my coworker a marked lotto card to run, then refused to buy it. For those who are too melanin-deficient to be familiar with the lottery system, there are lotto cards that you fill out, mark what you want to buy, run through a machine, and then from the state's perspective, it's bought. If the customer doesn't pay, the state comes after the store for the money, so from management's perspective, once the card is run, the customer had better pay or they get banned at best and called the cops on at worst. The customer was saying the machine was wrong because she didn't want to pay as much as she'd marked (like $35 in total). Coworker took several minutes to explain to her how the marks this woman had made indicated what she'd wanted to buy, but the woman refused to listen and just said that our machine was wrong. Eventually she stormed out.

I fucking hate my life.

I also wonder just how much African-Americans cost the economy. The theft at my store is out of control, it's made us invest heavily in loss prevention tech that doesn't really work, we have to lock up a lot of our inventory which creates a hostile atmosphere, we have a direct phone line to the police that has to be used several times a week, which costs them time/money, we have Black schizos that loiter around sexually harassing women and asking them for money outside the store, and when you factor in welfare...

There used to be a thing about Okinawa didn't want black Marines off the base because they ALWAYS caused trouble.

I know that the Germans back in the 80's didn't like black guys because they stole from people, acted like assholes, and pretty much groped women and shit. You learn real quick not to 'split a cab' with a black dude because he'd jump out and leave you to pay for the whole thing and the cab driver would tell you they do that shit all the time. They also had a bad habit of robbing the cabbies and the food cart dudes.

Wifey and I are expecting our first baby and after nearly a decade of planning our life together and originally planning on establishing our family in the neighborhood we’ve lived in for six years and have held most dear, we ended up making the difficult decision of move elsewhere because the melanated population swooped in and fucked everything up big time. With family planning you want to consider moving into an area with good schools, consider if there will be other children in the area, and if you’re in a walkable distance to parks and public recreation. We had all of that in spades…and then the blacks showed up.

The neighborhood I’m in was a working class but cute place for starting families and its completely gone to hell in a hand basket because of you-know-who moving in. Both the stores in my area where we shopped at closed within months of each other because of blacks stealing merchandise. Now there’s less options in the area for poorer people and working class people to shop. Blacks infest poor neighborhoods and start robbing the local stores, which subsequently close, the local population ends up leaving because there’s no longer a convenience that made the area appealing, the blacks are bringing test scores down, filling up the parks at night smoking crack, blaring their shitty ass bipbop music with the bass turned up to max while their cars all sound like they ripped out the catalytic converters…in the end they end up fucking over the local poor people who now have to plan logistics on how and where to get groceries, locking up everything so it doesn’t get stolen, where they can walk to safely without worrying about being shot, not being out in the street by a certain night. And people wonder why its wealthier liberal whites that are more tolerant towards them. They don’t have to fucking live with them.

Packing up and moving is nowhere near easy. If you don’t have a lot of money and are working in a service job that barely pays above minimum wage it’s so easy to end up in stagnation. Sometimes the only affordable area is where melanated folks congregate for reasons nobody can fathom.

I know it's not easy but it's still easier than living around fatiguers. Maybe I have survivorship bias, but if I found myself in such a situation I'd do everything in my power to elevate myself financially and get out of there. I mean it's life or death, literally.
