Who knows (until someone comes up with proof) but either way, trying to say TB is shit because of GooberGrape is so very exceptional. Then again, these people can't let it go despite how some of them would say there's people that can't let GG go without making sure the finger isn't also pointed at themselves.

Yes. There's a Lolcow Wiki article on it. It's a bit out of date.

Common misconception is that Brianna Wu was the one who originally instigated it, trying to claim he was a white supremacist because he used the term PC Master Race, but it really took off because Bain, at the time, was vociferously pro-GG and refused to swallow the narrative.

Uninitiated Kiwis might be unfamiliar, but the short version is that one of the biggest things done by CON and friends to stop Gamergate was essentially dogpile anyone with a remotely-decent-sized platform that might deign to deviate from their narrative spin that GG was nothing but harassment. Refusing the narrative, and gods help you, running counter to said narrative is considered a cardinal sin by the CON crowd, and they quickly moved to get him de-platformed, but Bain was already one of the biggest fish in a comparatively big pond at this point - he didn't just get away with defying the narrative - he pulled a Notch and openly flaunted his doing so, and when he won a fairly prestigious award at the time over the indie game journalism crowd, and suffice to say, they lost their fucking shit:

What would follow Bain having the temerity to point out that yes, Brianna Wu is a laughingstock, and yes, Zoe Quinn is a whore would be nearly three years of targeted harassment by CON's orbiters, to the point where his family recieved multiple death threats and constant crowing of how these warriors of tolerance were looking forward to how he was going to die of cancer soon. Fittingly, the entire time this was happening, he was deemed a "serial harasser," had the entire Social Justice crowd attempt to have him strategically deplatformed, and multiple groups tied to CON attempt to have his career strategically destroyed in the process. When you wonder why it is that Bain's mental health took a rapid and free-fall plummet in his last few years and he ultimately turned against GG after supporting them so strongly, take a few minutes and remember that he recieved nigh-constant attacks from CON and friends years after GG stopped being relevant, solely for his initial thoughtcrimes and the fact that he could reach an audience. When Ian Miles Cheong eventually left the clique, the ongoing campaign of harassment against Bain was the reason he left.

Azure was key to this shit. He not only was one of the people actively pushing against Bain for daring to step out of line and defy the holy narrative of Saint Blowjob of Quinn, but he was a major proponent of the #ZeroBiscuit campaign that began after Bain won an award at the VGAs. In the CON log leaks, you can find him, alongside his fellow degenerates, spending the bulk of the holiday break figuring out colorful new ways to go after the guy in retaliation for not going along with their bullshit and having an audience he could reach.

The only excuse they'd make is not wanting to deal with trolls when in reality they could just make some crappy hot takes on people digging up their tweets. That said, "don't leave their homes at all". Wew, GamerGate must of really been a scary ride for some people.

In regards to Brad, his shitposting on Twitter may as well be a free time thing in between his job and family. Meanwhile, Timmy's tweeting is just him bitching about shit in between spending a chunk of time on Twitter trying to come up with hot takes. Yeah, Brad seems to be the person with a more fulfillng life than what Timothy has despite whatever Timmy and his followers can come up with as hot takes to what Brad does on Twitter.. To say using KiwiFarms as a metric is laughable when you dedicate a chunk of social media trying to bitch about a dead hashtag and its people when it's likely they got more of a life than just playing video games and sperging about the gamers or sjw's or whatever else Twitter spergs do.

Fun fact: The guy trying to dunk on Brad "sounding offended over the word nerd" also appeared on Kiwi Farm reviews as a person who thinks you need help if you were a K-Farmer. Funnily enough, seeing a psychiatrist also applies if you were like Timmy or any other Twitter ratking in thinking Kiwi Farms is somehow going to get you beyond a thread or still thinking some dead hashtag had power when a gaming platform made a "reference" to it in a gif announcing a game being sold.
