I figure I let the videos speak for themselves. Below is his most recent video - a documentary around the urban myth of Polybius:

Most of his content is pretty similar in terms of style, though the length can vary - this video is the longest one on his channel at the moment, while his shorter videos only clock in at about 7 minutes.

Hold up mate. No Ahoy topic is complete without links to his Iconic Arms series:
He also has a documentary on how the Cold War shaped video games both technically and thematically:

Where do I find the music this guy uses? it sounds really good.

Here are his videos on Doom and Quake, I like his videos they are supreme comfy videos.

Really enjoyed his Iconic Arms series. At the end of the day, he's one of the better youtubers out there, making great videos.

I managed to stumble across this video today (it was in my recommended videos list for some reason) and I'm so glad I watched it. I've heard of Polybius and the myths surrounding it, but I had no idea how deep the rabbit hole went. This video feels like a legitimate documentary, and I can't imagine how many hours it took Ahoy to do such thorough research and compile it in such an engaging way. Actually, I went back and noticed that the email he sent to Steven Roach was sent in April, meaning that this video was in the works for at least 5 months.

I'm not really a video game person (nothing against them at all, I'm just not very good at them), but Ahoy's earned a subscription from me.

You never have to be good at a game to enjoy it. Everyone has their "type" of game that they can sit down and enjoy
