AI Art Seething General

Pay someone a hundred bucks to draw something and get constant excuses, "oh I'm in and out of the hospital for mental health reasons," "but I am le tired," if you're not just ghosted outright.
This is why whenever I commission anything it is exclusively using PayPal.

180 days to file a dispute. If the artist doesn't respond (they never do, because they've got nothing to show), you're refunded entirely. Have done it four times, won all four times. No need to fight and argue with the artist, PayPal just refunds you and puts the artist's account in the negatives if needed.

The artist seethe is really funny too because most Twitter artists have "no refund" policies on their "terms of service". Well guess what? PayPal doesn't give a fuck about some gay Google Doc you typed "no refunds!!!" on. Whenever I see an artist have a "no PayPal" policy it is almost always because of this and they should be avoided at all costs.

Doesn't PayPal show your real name to other people? I did the research and it kind of shows that it does. I am not surprised people prefer AI art already because let's accept it - some people are animals when they face the smallest perceived slight. Rub those artists the wrong way in some manner? Assume they will start leaking real information because they're pissed with you, thus leaving you wide, wide, wide open for further doxxing and other crimes that may follow. Seems like VGen and Fiverr are no better because they require then show your real location, leaving you not as open as PayPal, but still open, nonetheless. At least on KiwiFarms you have to strike the first blow by sharing the personal info yourself, which is completely optional.

You can create a business account, and you don't have to actually be a business for it to work, you can claim you're self-employed. Then just name it something that has nothing to do with you personally.

I would still not suggest commissioning people that run their business through Twitter or Tumblr under any circumstances, there's a reason they're not using the many popular sites dedicated specifically to this kind of thing.

So many theater kids are going to be obliterated in the future and it's beautiful.
