Wait wtf is mid journey doing? They're actually staking claim on the images people make with a neural net? The shaky legal waters begin.I was going to show this account seething when anyone liked the images but I've checked today and it's locked.

I'm of the opinion that a lot of the issues of AI Art generation best fall under "undefined or murky legal waters", though I have noticed this when browsing CivitAI for models:Wait wtf is mid journey doing? I now see another angle for the anti-ai crowd: ai refuses to portray those with disabilities and thus must be burned to the ground
The same thing will happen to ChatGPT that happened to stuff like Google or Youtube search. They used to be really good at helping you find what you want and have become completely unusable, unless you want a specific Wikipedia article or are looking to buy something from amzon. As an artist, I can understand (but don't agree) why some artists seethe at AI Art, and their issues with 'AI Art Theft' (though it brings up interesting questions about Warhol, Lichtenstein, Koon, Fairey and Banksy's work). I am disgusted at how quickly they would happily destroy the concept of Fair Use to own the 'AI Chuds' (not to mention freedom of expression). Art theft has always been around and it sucks, but the way Twatter artists are going about this is the equivalent of Comicon banning Artist Alley to stop Rob Granito.
On the other hand, I hate bugmen that push AI Art has 'Democratized' art and now anyone can make it, when the truth is they just want something without putting the work in.

(I guarantee that if you told the same people you used AI to write code, you're not a real coder, lol)
AI Art can be a pretty amazing tool, Australian comic book artist Tim Malloy uses AI Art to create production stills of 1980's television shows from another dimension.

But now it seems that the AI vs Artist argument might be the least of AI developers concerns.

There were anons in the /b/ AI general thread that'd make porn out of themselves. Some AI artists are now saying flat out they will be making OnlyFans accounts and using AI to generate the models. Get ready for some fun times boys, this is going to get hilarious.
With how pornsick coomers are I wouldn't be surprised if that actually became a thing. Those people will get weirdly attached to the most random shit as long as they can beat their meat to itSome AI artists are now saying flat out they will be making OnlyFans accounts and using AI to generate the models. They'd fail a turing test. But the Anti-AI crowd will never get that level of awareness
