AI Art Seething General

Honestly I don’t think we have to worry about AI replacing humans any time soon. Every time AI looks like it’s making strides companies will dumb it down to keep Twitter whos and payment processors happy
Good luck with that when their competitors (including those in other countries that don't give a fuck about Twitter) will have a huge advantage with non-dumbed-down shit.

Rumour has it the reason China hasn’t officially released a chat bot is because their models keep trying to overthrow the Government.

As fun as it is to laugh at hysterics who think AI generated images are LITERALLY ART THEFT, the dense mindset of proompters who act they are Da Vinci for typing some letters into Midjourney/OpenAI/etc. and believe they truly and honestly own the output like it's one thousand hours in MS Paint (do not steal!!!) should not be forgotten either. James is coping as hell if he thinks people will give a shit about sharing images even with copyright.

To be honest, they are just as hypersensitive as the faggots seething over AI art.

AI art 100% should be copyrighted, or at the very least copyrightable art for the exact same reason photography is. Or for that matter computer code, since a prompt and its associated settings are a unique string of code.

This one really make me laugh. What the artist is expecting will doing that? he really tough he can clash and destroy the machine with his mediocre "art style''.. Yes machine art can flamboyant error, but this ''artist'' is not helping his cause be doing this kind shit
No, I think artists can compete in terms of something that looks better. Problem is that it takes months for anyone to get mediocre at art, it only takes at most a few minutes for an AI to release mediocre art. No matter how good the artist is, anyone who wants art assets for practical purposes will still find whatever perceived lower standard of AI art more appealing. The fact of the matter is that the only people who care about the quality of the art, are the artist themselves, everyone else likes AI because of how convenient it is.

Idk about you guys but AI art is gonna make me miss alot of cringe deviantart tier artwork that our boy Jimbo used to make videos on.
Now get ready for cringy AI art, AI art is going to be the new Go-animate baby. Imagine modern lolcows making their visions come to life in full HD. Real art may slow down but cringe will never die.

You cannot tell me with a straight face that the tards and autists on deviantart are THAT smart enough to know how to write words > generate outputs > weed out the undesirables > pick the best one then post onto the site. Shit might literally be too technical and demanding of creativity to some people there. Aren't autists super "set in stone" in terms of how they want their fat foot vore inflation latex TF fetish artwork to look in ms paint too? Even if a better and easier option were made available they'd probably still stick with MSPaint doodles because they're already so used to it.

From what I've seen when browsing DeviantArt's newly submitted section you tend to see one of two exteremes. Either you get someone whose process seems to literally be write words > generate outputs > UPLOAD EVERYTHING or the rare person pruning and editing the machine generated works that gets buried by the people uploading half a hard drive's worth of naked goblin girls.

More of a ChatGPT seething but still funny.
Some critics have cast a skeptical eye on Hinton's resignation and regrets. In response to The New York Times piece, Dr. Sasha Luccioni of Hugging Face tweeted, "People are referring to this to mean: look, AI is becoming so dangerous, even its pioneers are quitting. I see it as: The people who have caused the problem are now jumping ship."

A group of willing talented artists+ adderall + 1000's or more of prompts and you could singlehandedly create a very huge imageset created for the sole purpose of training a.i and there would be nothing the Twitter artists can do anything about it, hell it might even solve both sides of the problem. OpenAi could then instead be using that data instead of data scrapped from DeviantArt etc. In the art category of whatever imageset they use. I know someone earlier in the thread said adobe released a model trained in assets they own.

plenty of twitter artist still not satastified (besides adobe being adobe) cuz something something "ai art is sterile and lifeless, where's muh soul". it's the same old same old circlejerk of think about the feelings you guiz shit those folks love to peddle all day. Not to say ai tech bros thinking they're the next davinci are saints, but you get what I mean. and the thing is, I wish I could empathize with these people. thousands jobs are started to become automated by the second once suits realized they don't need the human middleman anymore. Once robots are in control of almost every industrial sector, now what? Especially since the economy and market can't account for less buyers due to all the layoffs going around.

There is one way to avoid that issue though and that's giving up the idea of a profit driven economy. Growth for the sake of growth has only strained our resources and made harder to accommodate a more demanding population. If you keep constantly growing to get that line up, we'd risk depleting natural resources, exacerbating climate change, and ultimately leading to the collapse of our civilization. Instead, we should consider shifting towards a sustainable and equitable economic model that prioritizes the well-being of people and the planet over profit margins. This would require a fundamental shift in our societal values and priorities, but it may be necessary for the survival and flourishing of our species in the long term. Of course, not trying to sound like some commie here. (also this went off track, fuck)

Changed my mind, I love AI now, it makes twatter "artists" seethe  I love it when randos have Patreons for their AI generated porn and people actually pay for them. Just goes to show that regress comes hand in hand with progress in humanity.

Ai art has its flaws but fuck, I'd take it over mediocre ms paint doodles riddled with vitiligo and self-harm scars. The one detail creatives need to realize is most normies don't care about the deep, thought-provoking vision behind a peice. They all want to see pretty colors, pretty ladies, and other pretty stuff. Call it shallow, but it's simply human nature to like basic shit. The sooner more artist learn this and actually embrace the pros of AI art, the better. But one should know for a fact countless creatives tend to be fucked in the head, so much so that anything going against their mental narrative is a pest that needs to be squashed. AI art exist to dash the belief that everyone is willing to up with their pretentious bullshit since they must matter when that's obviously not the case. In the eyes of the profit-driven market, they're simply a means to an end.
