AI Art Seething General

Reminds me of this one post I saw on 4cucks that I've been thinking about a lot.

You can sound like this other person sure, but the ability to actually Voice Act and express yourself based on the voice your using still requires work to try and get the results you're achieving. Same thing with AI Art I'd imagine; it's impressive on what it can output, but you're probably gonna need to put in the extra legwork in order to steer the AI into what it is that you're going for.

Of course he gets mega butthurt and cherry picks the worst example of modern comic art (from a few years ago) as a rebuttal.
I think it's fair to remind people artists can phone it in and often have subpar art with alienating demoralizing aesthetic choices and story themes.

I've had more fun with ai art than I have the past few years of noodle arm cal arts piece of crap shows and comics

Blame the current editors in the big two for that, they suggest and vouch for these wheelchair bound transgender muslim lesbians that make bad art, over good artist (something something straight cisnormative men). Even a phoned in issue of Batman in the 70's would still look good because Julius Schwartz wouldn't allow the art to fall below a certain standard. Modern editors can't even proofread a script for spelling errors, let alone tell the artist to redraw something.
What every Twitter artist doing right now is cherry-picking the worst example of AI art and using it as a rebuttal against it..
Maybe that true, but it's kinda funny to see the AI Artbros who gloated over artists being made 'obsolete' from AI are fucking crying over how mean those same artists are when they meme their AI art.

Nah, perhaps for you it is a silly shitshow, but it still shows the lunacy those shitlib twater artists losing their shit easily from the conservative Mormon bait at first sperging out from this faggotry trying to own the chuds like manic shitheads they are.
Just being delusional detractors being envious over instant vidya-tier rendering that could take forever to do manually.
Like this picture, I've seen plenty of Touhou art and this is the first time I can see a picture of someone and immediately remember the author. It's hard to explain. You could say that it isn't the most technically amazing thing you've ever seen but the artstyle and coloring sets it apart.
As the great Terry Davis once said "an idiot admires complexity, a genius admirers simplicity" this quote can absolutely apply towards any artistic vision of optimization, separating between human-readable art some retard with some artistic knowledge could easily understand how to study and be inspired from, and complex polished illustrations loses any hints of readable line stokes, practically becoming cryptic and mysterious.
Some of my favorite Stable-Diffusion assets are the ones that closely resemble simplistic techniques similar to traditional illustrations.
Man, this looks like garbage. If I was an artist and someone showed me this telling that it took them a lot of time to generate it using AI, I'd breathe a sigh of relief.
If some other artist with more dedicated experience does those amplification hybrid techniques while reducing time to compile the image, it would've been a unique motivated situation, but that doesn't stop spergs from going tardrage about it enforced on their narrative mkultra programing. Just endless lunacy, it's like if a group of guitarists are outraging over the use of the amplifier, because they're afraid of transforming their musical efforts into something new.
There are skills involved but what once took 100 hours could end up as 10 hours as UI and tools evolve. Something like ControlNet alone is a massive step towards "getting something 1% as good as you envisioned".

Come back in 2 years and all this software will be much more powerful and easier to use, even if the models themselves don't change much.
It makes me wonder why the lead programmer 'lllyasviel' behind ControlNet hasn't published that V5 Style2Paints yet?
This true Ai-art assistance software could've reduced the amount of seething of artists and they'll have fair game in this modern artificial-brain-cell-tensor chip AI world Uncle Ted would bomb aganist rapidly faster than BLM riots.
That's the real conspiratorial question I'd like to know, because the Controlnet dev restricted top secret access to V5 S2P in his GitHub which also fucks up GitHub browsing every time like a nigger being tasered in area 51.
Maybe 'lllyasviel' really hates helping out artists and wants them to melt the seething boiling pot until the smoke alarm sets off, till they finally release it after years of refinement.

Google wants governments to form a ‘global AI corps’
The paper, penned by Walker, calls on governments to “scale up AI training programs” to “catch workers that are impacted by AI and reskill them so they can quickly bounce back into new and better jobs.” It also urges officials to create “flexible immigration pathways for AI experts.”
From the paper:
Second, in terms of substantive rules, a copyright framework that supports innovation and cumulative creativity – including limitations and exceptions that allow developers to train AI models on publicly available data – is one strong predictor of whether a country will be a leader on AI. For AI systems to learn from and engage with diverse information sources and datasets, copyright frameworks must allow for broad usage of data inputs. And to ensure that copyright frameworks achieve these goals, governments must ensure that users, scientists, innovators, researchers, and the creators using these tools are fully represented within the policymaking process.

I've used AI art generators a few times to make fake portraits for the royal family from a story of mine. It's a fun tool. Not perfect, but I always enjoy playing around with it because even with the imperfections I enjoy seeing my characters come to life. I always kind of chuckle when I see artists throwing a bitch fit about it because they're losing money when I know for a fact that I wouldn't be able to afford one commission of a renaissance-style royal portrait, let alone multiple. If AI art had never come to be, I'd have just contented myself with imagining those portraits in my head rather than shell out hundreds of dollars on a whim. They'd never get my money in either scenario so there's no real reason to freak out.
it like big corpo against piracy all over again

I think it's worth pointing out the context in which he is saying that too. He is replying to someone who says that Shad simply hates the process of drawing because it takes too long. Yet Szymanski is the guy who is renown for making low-polygon, low-resolution games. Why does he do that, I wonder, as an indie game developer? It's almost like he is doing it to... save time.
It makes me wonder of what would be the today's reactions on some artistic shortcuts such as 3D modelling to obtain complex poses, or specific camera angles, while retaining the body proportions in 2D art. And hiding the whole process pretty well in the end result.

Artist's name is Shiomiya Iruka, the name may ring a bell for some people here as the author of "Kino no Tabi: A Beautiful World".

Anyway AI tools are not really different on that aspect, specifically when mixing other mediums/methods alongside it.

TLDR: LMAO CALM DOWN BRO YOUR ART IS SAFE CONTINUE DRAWING THE DOOMSDAY CLOCK ISN'T TICKING
So these guys are acting like the AI image generators have genocided their entire family when in reality they are just being used for quick jokes while making them keep the original art style of the source material they are referencing. I draw too, but I'll be very honest with you Twitter artists... I'M NOT GOING TO SPEND HOURS OF MY DAY (I'm a very busy person and I only have free time on weekends) SKETCHING SOMETHING THAT WON'T BE ON MODEL.
That does not make me lazy. I prefer to draw original content that belongs to me, or simply fanart I think AI won't be able to replicate on its own.
If I want to draw Joe Biden sniffing Bart Simpson, Screenshot 1995 Simpsons episode, VHS quality screenshot., I'm not going to waste the fucking time I already don't have sketching (not even drawing) it because I KNOW that it won't be on model, so it won't be as funny. So yeah, I'll use AI because AI is accurate when copying art styles of famous IPs. Fuck you. That does not make me a GIGAHITLER. I will not spend weeks or even months studying someone's art style for a quick joke I won't do later. Besides, this "AI STEALS ART" argument is ridiculous because they never seem to have an answer about WHO it steals from.
If you are a big household name like Greg Rutkowski, Akira Toriyama, or Matt Groening, yeah, you are fucked pretty much.
But I'm pretty fucking sure that none of my art, or the art YOU make will be "exclusive enough" for all Online AI Image generators to be able to differentiate.
I have tried multiple prompts with very specific artists and it has failed with every single one of them, even with DALL-E 3!
BUT. I can create models where I myself can get images from artists I like (or even my own) and train it so I can "steal" their art style. However, that process is very slow and needs a lot of training material for it to be consistent (starting from 3 digits up to 5 digits,) and to make it consistent is going to be pretty hard because humans change the way they draw certain features with time. (See the way Garfield changed from the 1970s all the way to the 2000s for example)

It's so funny how they call AI art lazy when artists themselves(especially digital ones) use a fuck ton of tools to make the task easier and take a damn near month just to finish a single comm
Like it or not, AI is simply a tool like many other tools and it's here to stay, Ai art itself has quite a few things that could help artists out(train it on your own art style to draw backgrounds, see how you fair against a machine, shitpost, ect)
ironic too because these same people love to shit on certain types for being ye old fossils unable to get with the times yet their sounding just like those people, there is no difference between an artist crying about ai killing their hobby vs a boomer talking about how computers will destroy the world

This is what forced me to realize that artists are kind of retarded.

For the reactions...

Seething about AI pictures 24/7 is feeding AI. It keeps it in people's mind all the time. People who hate AI seem to go out of their way to find AI art to flame it. So basically the people posting the AI art are incentivized to post more because they get all the polarized reactions. Better the engagement, the more it gets recommended and promoted.

I wonder how Shad would react if Jazza used AI to write a fantasy novel, and then claim he is a legit author, and Chat GTP is just a tool to help Jazza depict his artistic vision?
It depends how accurate the swordplay is. jk

They're the same people who did not say a single thing when Shadman was glorifying child porn and drawing it on Xitter, but they drew the line at him being addicted to heroin and getting doxed(?). They're all either severely autistic, narcissistic, sociopathic, or a combination of the three. I am talking specifically about "web artists" here. Don't know about the others, but it is obvious that the industry is not staffed by the brightest and most likeable overall.

Being le heckin' wholesome decent freakin' person isn't the main criteria for becoming le artist? Holy Hitler, who could've predicted this....

Also unrelated, but consider the following, folks: machine is still crap and needs to feed upon something to create.

I'm going to drop this thread in prospering grounds here: AI communities thread. This is for the AI development side and any AI related drama that doesn't already have a thread. This thread is fine for laughing at people in the art communities, but if you find some ridiculous drama or people of interest on the AI side of the fence, drop by.
