Hey guys I'm kinda worried about AI stealing my Miku drawing that I put hours into drawing and poured my soul into. Do you think this is enough of a watermark to protect me against AI, I think it might be but I'm a bit scared.

I just wanted to come and share some shit I saw on Twitter just to further spit on the 'AI art looks bad and is soulless' and all those types of speds. With Twitter artists deciding to ruin their own art and fuck off to the tranny hugbox site the Twitter algorithm has been filling their spot in my feed with actually good looking posts. Once again in the attempts to make AI look bad they are only making it look even better.

Here's a few posts from several different people that I think are maybe the best. Just keep in mind what AI art looked like a year ago, back when dalle3 was going around and you could kinda tell what something was meant to be if you knew beforehand and squinted. Then think of where we'll be in a year or so from now.

I know that all the anti AI retards would just say I'm being biased and shit but the things I've seen from these accounts are genuinely some of the best images I have seen on Twitter in a very long time. I just wanted to stick this here just to have an easy callback for when these retards say some objectively incorrect bullshit like 'my mspaint tier art is way better than any AI art' or that 'AI art is all just generic anime slop'. Idk you tell me what's more creative and imaginative: the same old 3/4s shot of an anime character in a white void or this? These posts vary but I'd say have around 10k likes on average. That's incredibly popular and clearly no one gives a shit about something being AI or not because they have eyes. It seems like most of them are using midjourney which I will say is kinda cringe, subscription models are retarded; let me download it and run it locally ffs. Honestly though I look forward to it. Kinda faggy and personal but I got into a fanbase as it was dying, I missed when my favourite character was having shit posted constantly, I missed the best part. I joined that fanbase when it was in decline. If I want to see my favourite character more than fucking once a week nowadays I have no choice but to dredge through years of unrelated shit in people's galleries or go through pixiv and shit like that. Without AI I saw my favourite character at most twice a week in any somewhat decent quality, that was it. I'm not just going to stop caring about this dumb retard just because some other people did. Idc how autistic this sounds but like I still care about this character, I still want to see art of him, even if I didn't get unlucky with the timing of joining the fanbase I'd still say the same. With AI I can actually do that. Sure it might look like fucking dogshit half the time, the sites I use might be constantly degrading and it might take me forever to get anything decent. But that's still more than the current next to nothing. At this point I'm not looking at buying a new GPU for games, sure there's some that interest me but more than anything I want to be able to run good models locally so I don't have to worry about faggy admins and low quality results. My last post was somewhat of a joke, but I can't say it's wrong. AI is genuinely the best thing I've done with a computer for a very long time. I'm not joking when I say that I have probably generated more images of this one character than the total number ever posted. I know for a fact that I create more per week than everyone else combined, that's not hard when the website I use creates 4 per prompt, literally one click and you're top. Low quality? Yea. Time consuming? Sure. Autistic as shit? Definitely. But it is still the character I love and that's all I could give a shit about at this point.

I find it hard to want to follow most western artists on Twitter because it's mostly just them bitching, venting, and begging, and their media channel is stuffed with reaction gifs, with mayyyyybbbbeeee a piece of art every few weeks. Non-western artists aren't like this, a lot of Japanese artist's I've seen only post their art.

In comparison, a lot of AI gen accounts who post their work are more consistent, which, let's be honest AI image generations allow for high output, but they usually don't go way too deep into their personal lives and rant about current political events that are separated from their work.

People will argue that the artist's personality is part of the value of their work, but frankly for some people, their personalities are a detriment.

If you check the replies of the retards original post someone's already fucking cosplayed it. If your design is that generic that someone can basically instantly cosplay it then it's hardly unique.

I actually recognised this person. They post an ungodly number of designs. A fair amount of them are actually pretty cute for anime type designs but they heavily fall into the autism pride merch when you realise she makes them as physical goods.

I'll admit I looked at the first image and thought nothing of it, just a generic coomerbait post. Nothing new about the design literally just looks like a cropped virgin killer type beat. But nah I'll agree this company definietly seems a bit shitty, especially if the last screenshot is real and the owner and artist knew they were just copying shit then it's definitely pretty dodgy. Though none of these designs look super unique, I could definitely see two people coming up with the same designs in isolation, I do think the store probably just copied these though, they are way too close in every minute detail. If it was any of the other designs from Nyahallo then it'd probably be more obvious considering they are normally very unique. But yea this site looks pretty scummy. It doesn't really fit the thread but I mean someone else posted the video here so it's probably the best place to leave these screenshots and such.

I mean yea it's twitter sperging as always. Two of the designs have been removed from the store and the third is now being distributed for free and with credit. It's retarded internet drama that no one gives a shit about in the grand scheme of things, but it had the intended effect.

None of these people would ever go to court. The 'damages' would be a fraction of even the cheapest lawyer fees, you probably would get less in damages than it would cost to even have a lawyer draft up a complaint let alone serve it.

The hands thing is funny, same with the face thing. They don't understand that multiple processes are used in the creation of cutting edge AI art. The first AI step on automatic111 is what everyone is thinking of. When people use a comfy workflow instead, they usually add a step that corrects hands and one that corrects faces. It's really funny.

Regarding the CSAM thing. My advice is to not fabricate evidence of criminal activity. If AI generated CSAM is real enough for pedos to get off to, it's real enough to get them thrown in jail.

It'll never not be funny to me that those that are screaming the loudest are usually some anime "artists" doodling some anime girl or other, considering that that artstyle is probably the most derivative art style that ever existed. It literally looks the same, everywhere, no matter who drew it. The irony.

AI art is quite involved if you want to do anything interesting, targeted or advanced. I consider ComfyUI still the most professional tool that's out there and it really reminds me of 3D art workflows in some ways. Just typing a prompt is beginner level.

I got one welcome my ai overlords to take my job. A ton of artists are worried about their occupation when they work freelance on twitter. Most game and movie art is done procedurally these days. If ai isn't real art. Is the building generator that you move a bunch of sliders around with that much more artistic? That being said. I enjoy sculpting and noding more.

I won't say you're wrong about americans but from my experience Japanese artists are just as bad about posting filler. Half of the times I open a Japanese artist's media tab it's about 100 screenshots from some niche gacha game and images of food to maybe 1-5 art pieces. I don't care about that as much though because it's much easier to scroll by a language you don't understand, unlike american slop where my brain automatically starts to read it before I scroll by.

@femboy fart huffer i'd argue the reason Japanese twitter is devoid of political bitching is mostly because most of the political bitching is responding to trolls thinking owning them will make them go away. Because the trolling is mostly in English. People who don't speak it don't have to worry about it. And most countries where trolling is big have less censorship on their platforms. Asian countries in general tend to be far more censorious of their internet discussions.
