I don't know why but it seems AI Labs such as OpenAI are terrified of releasing new models due to """meddling""" that may happen while using their models. What do you think? Discuss here.

They already released it to those who use it for "countering the meddlers" and "deemed worthy"
 
They're fucking retards for releasing anything in the first place. They either knew or should have known that this would be the result.

This is not how this will work. Photo "evidence" can already be faked very easily. No one has been taken down by faked photos AFAIK, or anything else fake. If AI deepfakes have any effect at all, it will be in the opposite direction, people will become skeptical of everything and it will be harder to nail anyone with a scandal because they can always just claim it's fake.
