However horrible cheesy most of the lyrics are, I still love their sound.

Doesn't mean I'll ever forgive them for their version of Barrett's Privateers tho
 
I started listening to them last year. So far Heavy Metal Pirates and Leviathan are my favorite songs.


I didn't even know this genre was a thing, but I'm glad I found it.

I think this is my favorite from Alestorm. Fucked with an anchor and Keelhauled is good too.


I've been into folk metal for a decade, seems like a rare taste.
 
It's been a few months since I listened to Alestorm, but I randomly felt like listening to them again today and I'm glad I did- I was reminded of why I love them so much In the first place-
(Favorite line: Hey Marty, it's your kids, they get devoured by undead squids!)
