I'm not optimistic about Noah's church going. I've known many people use it as their shallow half-hearted attempt to look like they're trying to improve themselves, when they very rarely are. I'm not 100% positive, but I think this is the first time I've seen Alex mention Palestine at all. I don't fault her for not discussing it; social media would have you believe that you have to post about it 24/7, but I doubt Alex knows anything about the situation or particularly cares. It's a little odd to see this coming from her: she seems pretty apolitical, and, perhaps more to the point, she cares only about herself.

Ari comes out with some great facial expressions and often has a "bitch, what?" look around Alex. I love it.

Her hair has thinned tons. She's got traction issues from the scraped-up hair, but it's also just thinner overall. Mikey used to do a good job with her hair (his actual profession is hairdresser), but it's been a wreck since. Once she got with Noah and made him her "caretaker," it was all tight ponytails, all the time.

I've got three years of hair photos under the spoilers for comparison. There's also a clit sucker under that and a photo with Cairo-- which reminded me that we once again haven't seen him lately.

It's probably all due to her current carer (assuming it's still the pilot girl). I don't think Alex has the manual dexterity to do a nice clean makeup look. I only stumbled in here and have been going through the thread because the OP never got updated on whether the kid came out okay or not. Sorry if I'm repeating already known things.

The horrible thing about SMA is that there are several types; so glad to see the child seems to be alright (not type 0, which is awful to behold), but there is still a risk for other types in the future. As for Alex herself, SMA as an adult should not get much worse. It theoretically shouldn't impact her or make her life shorter than others. The fact she's had such a great life with Type 2 (I'm just guessing from the picture of her in a wheelchair as a child) is wild and a testament to modern medical care; the idea she had children without genetic counseling or even consulting a doctor before conceiving blows my mind. Half a century ago it would've been very different.

People go to great lengths to avoid passing even the carrier status to their children, like putting an egg inside an egg with IVF, and this woman is out here just popping them out. Fingers crossed that little one doesn't develop Adult SMA later in life.

Ari doesn't have SMA; they tested her for it at birth. She has none of the types. Type two comes with a significantly shortened lifespan, and although the "twerk juice" or Risdiplam has greatly improved Alex's quality of life and function, she's also declined significantly since pregnancy.

The fact that she calls it "twerk juice" is rather telling of her immaturity. When you have to give a little kid medicine, you might give it a cutesy name so it doesn't sound as scary. If Alex were about 10 years younger, I'd give "twerk juice" a pass as being a holdover from when she was little. Considering how long the word "twerk" has been in common use and Alex's age, it's just weird.
