I believe this retard meant geometric progression:
2, 6, 18, 54 and so on - where each next value is a product of the previous value and defined operator (in this case 3: 2, 2*3 =6, 6*3=18, 18*3=54, ...)
Opposed to arithmetic progression, where each next value is a sum of the previous value and the operator (2, 5, 8, 11; 2, 2+3=5, 5+3=8, 8+3=11, ...)
