This girl downloaded an app Mark owned when she was 18. He contacted her through it and asked if she wanted to model for a new company he was starting. She said she was interested.

One day she and her 17 year old boyfriend get in a fight so she leaves the house barefoot with her dog and dramatically calls Mark because she doesn’t know anyone else in the area. He picks her up and when they get back to his place he puts her in a posture collar, instructs her to sit correctly using the end of a whip to prod her, and then had her hit his friend’s feet with a bamboo cane.

She goes home to her boyfriend and insists on never again being alone with Mark sans her boyfriend. (Goes on to complain that her underage boyfriend was subsequently witnessing sexual photo shoots??) Mark didn’t like her boyfriend so he looked the guy up, found out he was a she, and from then on used the dead name.

She did a lot of work for Mark for free, though she doesn’t explain why. Her last straw was a photo shoot where she was completely naked and he told her to close her eyes, while he did something to make her feel more comfortable. She opened them and saw him unplugging a vibrator from an outlet, so she put her clothes back on and asked him to drive her home.

Im glad to hear about him from someone who isn’t The Girl Who Cried Wolf. It doesn’t sound like a cult, it just sounds like a shitty modeling agency. She listed a whole bunch of red flags before she ever met him and thousands of more red flags before the vibrator incident, so he definitely wasn’t trying to hide what flavor of freak he was. I’m reluctant to feel bad because he was blatantly creepy and a horrible boss at every turn, yet she continued the working relationship.
