Am I the only one who can't see embeds?

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Stop hiding under the blankets. It's the only way you'll see embeds.

Blankets. You know, the things that most people put on their bed to keep them warm at night? :pickle:

I can't see videos or most pictures anymore. I just assumed it was due to a recent change mixed with the fact I browse the internet on my xbox. I could see them a week ago :/

I can still see everything. I don't think the change to HTTPS would have done anything like stopping embeds from working, nor Null changing to secure cookies just a little while ago, since I'm pretty sure Youtube videos are always streamed with HTTP and would presumably also use their own cookie.

Just to be on the safe side, though, could you guys give a rough idea of when the problem started for each of you (like the above post did)? I don't think anyone's figured out what caused the problems people were having recently, but this might be related to it.

No, it definitely has to do with HTTPS. I need everyone with this issue to let me know what browser you're using.

I've switched YouTube over to HTTPS, but I can't force HTTPS for images.

I can see both now.
I'm on firefox nightly.

I'm just letting you know I can see embedded videos and images.
Running Safari 5.1.9 on OSX 10.6.8

I can see ALL the youtubes.

(I've never had a problem with embeds. ever. Not on my iPhone through Chrome. Not through desktop Chrome. Not through IE10. It always works for me. mChat makes them a bit weird, but they still work)

It has to do with certain browsers not liking HTTP inside HTTPS. There's probably a setting for you to change, but I can't do anything about it.
