For example, I don't think that Katy Perry kissing that young man is the equivalent of (for example) if Simon Cowell kissed a young shy women. Men are more intimidating. I can't make myself see a female teacher with an older teen boy as the same as a male teacher with a girl either. Even if it is wrong, I don't think you can blame Katy Perry because society told her that women are harmless and playful and that all young men want a kiss from a pop star.

MRA's use that argument because its a very simple way to show the inequalities between how men and women are treated legally and by society in similar situations. If someone truly wants equality, those differences have to be addressed.

Is it a bad thing that Katy Perry was taught this by society, would you say?

And do you think it's indicative of an adult level of intelligence that she doesn't consider whether or not someone wants to be touched by her, prior to touching them?

Just don't molest people, that's a simple solution to all of this.

TBH when I was a teen/young adult I liked the fact that women did playful advances with no responsibility because I was shy, so I liked being out and having outgoing women pat my butt, kiss me etc. I pretty much wanted attention from all attractive women though. I guess my emotions are saying only un-attractive women should learn restraint (which I know is very bad)

Tell me more about these women who would do these things. Were any of them related to you?

no, like middle aged women in bars etc, (or young women my age in bars) when I was social at age 20 or so.

my mom is a bit over affectionate and smothering sometimes tho.

it's difficult to describe but she's always been a bit clingy and over touching and she used to kiss my younger brother on the lips all the time and stuff. My ex thought that was what made him gay.

How do you feel about that?
