Amazon Studios to develop series based on Fallout

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
For Amazon, I think it's as long as people keep signing up for Prime.

It's sad. I don't even use Prime Streaming but I have Prime. (but I also pay a reduced price so I guess it evens out for me maybe?)
I have access to Prime Streaming through a family member but never watch it. Mostly because these stupid cunts (and HBO, and probably others) put ADVERTISEMENTS for other shows inbetween episodes. The one fucking thing you pay for streaming for is NO ADS! And they put ads in anyway. I was trying to watch Doom Patrol on HBO and kept getting ads for The Last of Crust and had it, cancelled all my streaming services and set up my own Plex server. I've never looked back, highly recommend this to everyone.

(Which reminds me, I need to download Doom Patrol and finish it.)

Boy, the writing in this is something else
This has to be AI, no fucking human talks like this.
Jesus fucking christ, who was actually excited for this slop?
Ahh the good ol' "Akshully wamin at home are the true victims of war" fuck outta here with that faggotry.
You know, I joked about Lover's Lab mods being made canon, but I didn't think they would actually go for it
Your browser is not able to display this video.
Is she supposed to be pregnant and started giving birth while banging? the fuck?
In Goodneighbor Daisy the ghoul junk shop owner talks about being hungry and her fondness for salisbury steak so clearly they do eat.
Could it be that Ghouls can eat despite not needing to? like how you can enjoy alcohol or cigarettes but don't actually need them to survive? (maybe a bad analogy). Or do older games establish that Ghouls eating normal food die?
The more I watch of this show the more braincells I lose.
Finally some tiddie.... oh so the show only shows ugly negresses and middle agede women tits, not the ones from the not bad looking protagonist, fuck you Nolan
Is that a woman giving birth to piranhas? Geez they did make loverslab shit canon didn't they?
I'm not 100%, but I think this is something Bethesda has been hinting at for a bit now.
Unless they retconed it later in 76, Fallout 4 has a side quest where you find a chink submarine and the Captain pretty much confirms China fired first.
I don't speak diversity hire, can anyone translate this for me?
Since I'm retarded I believe I can more or less understand diversity hire, the post seems to be praising the show for showing us the origins of the "Pip Boy" mascot, despite starting the article with "not everything needs an origin story"

Oh, Todd and Emil were involved in the writing and everything that's not Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 is retconned out of the series? Truly no one could've seen it coming. Emil fucking hates that people at Interplay, Black Isle and Obsidian are better at their job than him.

Well at least now he finally had his big chance to write a book those pesky gamers wouldn't rip the pages out of. Too bad that Emil is a gigantic hack and he wouldn't even manage to write a compelling fanfiction.

Apparently Matt Berry had a role in this. Are scenes with him at least funny?

Sinclair was just an elite who could see the end coming like House could. He knew the world at that point was beyond saving, so he built his isolationist site to begin again. He wouldn't want to nuke the country himself, he just saw the coming unstoppable apocalypse as an opportunity. Also he wasn't that fat
Wait, Sinclair was in that committee? The dead money Sinclair? The guy who built a knockoff Tijuana out of naive love and idealism for his girlfriend and was hated by Dean domino specifically because he was a positive influence?

Or do older games establish that Ghouls eating normal food die?
Umm, yes? Ending for Necropolis outright says that if you took the water chip from the ghouls in Fallout 1 without fixing their water pump, they die of dehydration(that is if the mutants don't kill them first, which happens if you take too long to finish the game). It should be common sense that they need food to sustain themselves as well, even the feral ones that sit around radioactive puddles or whatever.

Unless I am remembering wrong, the first nukes were fired either by the ghoul in Boston or the Chinese submarine on the West Coast, the ones who fired at West Tek(The Glow in Fallout 1). The ancestors of these soldiers would end up becoming The Shi in Fallout 2.
If Bethesda rewrites the lore again(remember, they originally said the aliens did it, I am not even joking), it is only because they or Microsoft don't want to lose favor with Chairman Cheng by angering the Chinese(which is super ironic)

So they can eat normal food? never played Fallout 1

At least now I shouldn't have to hear "But what about the GOOD Fallout games?" when talking about how shitty the franchise as a whole is now. There's real Fallout and then there's Bethesda's Fallout, completely different things.

I also love how every beloved franchise has to go through this now. New owners, they want to make it "theirs" or they were too lazy to build their own like franchise (Disney wanting a big sci-fi franchise) and then they completely fuck it up.

Yes, they need to eat and drink just like normal humans do. They're not supermen, they're merely people with a weird mutation, they need everything any other living creature needs but can uniquely survive in a radioactive environment.
I fucking hate Bethesda more than anything for making ghouls super common and turning them into either actual zombies or some sort of weird marvel-esque alien creatures that do whatever the fuck you want them to(including some really forced RACISM! analogues, see Tenpenny Tower quest in Fallout 3). Long are the days when they would be rare and have some unique interactions, but were still just people deep inside.

Nigga underestimates Yandex shady watch free websites.
If not cytube, from a group of friends to watch on syncplay with a downloaded rip or a personal list of sites I use for free tv/movies. Haven't had cable tv since 2010 and haven't ever bought a subscription to any streaming service. Certainty not changing that anytime soon.
Pic related: not watching it, but seems to already being on a lot of free sites already that I frequent.

I thiught they needed to consume heavily irradiated food or drink, and if they ate say a normal apple or Vault food they'd get food poisoning or similar.

I've already seen some people on Facebook praising the show for "respecting the source" unlike the Halo show, LMAO, paid shills are funny

That's retarded and the first time I heard anything like this.
No, they need to eat normal food just like everyone else, altho I bet they wouldn't get radiation poisoning, leading to them more openly eating shit that's just sitting around. These are probably the same people who think they can survive on nothing but radiation like some sort of radioactive photosynthesis, which is beyond retarded.
This is what Bethesda fanbase unironically thinks, lmfao

Never underestimate how stupid lot of fanboys are though

Considering this was asked by Machinima, I'm going to assume this was posted in 2010 right after New Vegas released in a horribly buggy state. I don't think many people remember the amount of flak Obsidian caught for that during those times.

That's retarded and the first time I heard anything like this.
Well I am retarded, but in my defense Fallout 4 pretty much implies this there is a kid on a fridge that has apparently been locked there since the great war meaning he has been in there 200 years and not only didn't starve he also didn't age, also his ghoul parents are okay and still living in their old house.
Honestly my headcanon there is that there was a miscomunication with the player, the kid really means the Quincy massacre and the player assumed he meant the Great War, yes there is dialogue that contradicts my headcanon but I chose to ignore it, as its less retarded.

Damn nigga I wish you could read.
Do you really think Remake Re-Todd stood there at a meeting demanding they nuke FNV, F2 and F1 out of existence?
Especially when FNV Remake/Remaster was leaked when Microsoft had their big stupid leak. "We're remastering a game we think doesn't exist"
He is there just so they can say they had a game man working on the movie. I can guarantee he did nothing but sign a dotted line saying he worked on the movie. If anything the Nuking was done for similar reasons as Halo, Rings of Power and the Witcher, to purposely shit on the fans of the original subject material by the much more intellectual tubo fag movie makers.
Getting mad at this being "cannon" is fucking gullible. I guarantee you none of this ""lore"" will be used in place of actual stuff.

I'm feeling very vindicated as of late, I had heard about the show and when asked my thoughts by friends and family, I expressed that this show was going to be garbage and was told the same thing by each of them, "give it a chance". I have not watched the show, (and probably never will), but seeing screenshots the whole thing looks very low budget production wise. The non-critic reviews aren't very glowing either, all these Amazon adaptions are always trash.

As to the ghoul thing people are discussing, here's what I remember. In the Interplay fallout titles ghouls required clean water and food like the rest of humanity. Their affinity for surviving radiation was down to that, surviving. They were not revitalized or able to feed off of radiation. Fallout 3 blurred the lines quite a bit with the whole radiation turning them feral topic which is one of the few things Obsidian ran with in New Vegas that was a Bethesda influenced concept. Fallout 4 retcons the whole ghouls need no sustenance but radiation thing into existence.
