Amazon Studios to develop series based on Fallout

Amazon released a scene. Have to see more. I'll bet anything that its the black guy in the power armor saving the girl.
Everything about this is trash. The acting, the props, the lines, and the special effects. I've seen fan films for video games and Warhammer 40k from the early 2000s with better acting and costume design.

Jonathan Nolan and his chink wife are hack frauds only employed bc they share a connection to Christopher.

Westworld was shit and this will be shit.
Jennifer Salke (Prime Video) desperately wants to be part of the Hollywood cool kids club. She keeps giving contracts with insane amounts of money to these people and they just shit out the lamest product possible.

As for Jonathan Nolan, I think he lost his balls when he met his wife. Once he put her in charge of Westworld, it became a big pile of crap.

I saw someone note that this scene had the distinctive feel of a “fan film uploaded to Youtube" in the early '10s, very specifically like one of those fan films devoted to whatever IPs that were made by some cosplay kids and people who had trust funds and they spent thousands of dollars on the budgets and who knows how many hours of time invested in filming and then they uploaded their fan films which got at most over the years 50K views or so.

Like the poster of the show, it’s not gritty enough. It looks like shit. The acting is shit. The set design is shit. The dialog is shit. Even the worst Fallout games had good voice acting and dialog.

This is really, really fucking bad and embarrassing. Fuck.

>wrist-mounted jetpack exhausts
>those fucking PA proportions
>guy moves like a Power Rangers villain
>the ghoul is just Deadpool
Incredible. It keeps getting worse.

What about late 2000s fan movies?
Yeah, this example isn't the best, but this 2008 Warhammer fan movie still looks better than a studio-made Fallout series

And don't forget the writer of Captain Marvel and Tomb Raider 2018 is also writing the series

The only reason why I'd watch this is because Walton Goggins is in it. Other than that it looks like pvre soyslop for the degenerated masses. I don't even know who this is supposed to appeal to.
I'm long past watching nu-slop because they cast one cool White guy in it as a honeypot. I was hoping this would be good, but I'll just read all of you complain about it, that's more fun.

As much as I loathe nv cockswaddlers, this looks... rough.
Walton goggins will do a good job, and the main character is cute, but yeah this is too clean and comic book like to represent the games. I am looking forward to seeing the pre war setting, but man this is gonna be a tough watch.

I doubt that Goggins can overcome the mediocre script. Plus most of his dialog will probably be lore breaking and filled with retcons that shit all over 1, 2, and New Vegas on purpose. "When the Brotherhood defeated the Enclave at the Battle of the Hoover Dam" or whatever drivel will be part of this series.

I was talking to someone the other day about who the real villain of this series is supposed to be. Is it the Ghoul played by the bad guy from Ant-Man 2? Or are they going to go with a faction like BoS? Bleh. I can't even imagine what their interpretation of The Master could be, so they won't do it. Where are the Super Mutants?

Honestly, not that bad. The power armor looks cheap, but at least we get a sense of what the script's tone is. And it isn't that far off... ideally it should range from very dark humor to totally playing it straight in a weird world, but I'll settle for humor.

I expect this show to be terrible, but nothing has really offended me so far. I know that's blasphemous, New Vegas be praised.

Goggins also appeared in Tomb Raider 2018, and as many times I've mentioned, that was written by the same bitch who had written this show. Process that for a moment

The ghoul character is a bounty hunter. Pretty much everyone assumes that he will travel with the girl and nigger characters and help them and have a change of heart style story. And in the end because Goggins doesn't want to do this show forever his character will either die sacrificing himself for the girl. Or his character will ride off into the sunset like an old Western film and there will always be the idea of him returning for the audience to cling to. Or if the actor desperately needs more money.

The villains in this series will probably be generic raiders or outlaws. I doubt that you will get anything as substantial as like Caesar or The Master. There are only eight episodes. They are heavily relying on a generic story and fans knowing the basic lore to save as much time and budget as possible. Eight hours is not really enough time to build the world before and after the bombs and explain all of the Wasteland factions in depth to a new audience.

One argument I've seen used in defense of the lighthearted tone of the show is "but Fallout has always had funny stuff/been humorous in tone. You can't take it too seriously." There have always been pop culture references and funny easter eggs in the series sure, but anyone who has played these games, the original 2 especially, even with the second one having far more of those aforementioned pop culture references than the first, will still tell you just how bleak and grim the setting is. The idea of balancing humor and serious subject matters/tone is lost on these retards, and I can only blame things like Marvel for inducing such a worthless fucking mindset in these people.

The existence of this show has just reaffirmed in me the belief that if you want to continue to enjoy things, especially in the modern era, you have to gatekeep like a motherfucker, lest your hobbies and interests be ruined by the vulgar masses.
