Amazon Studios to develop series based on Fallout

As someone who is entirely unfamiliar with Fallout, I saw the first episode a couple of weeks back.

First impressions: I overall liked it, but I certainly had some questions about it, and I can easily see it getting dumber and making less sense as it goes on. I liked Lucy and the Ghoul though.

Is the show trying to make Vault-Tec the bad guys though? Because based on what was set up in the first episode and everything, am I taking crazy pills for thinking that there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with wanting to re-start a civilized society again? lol. Or is this show going to turn into "colonizers bad!" or some shit?

keep watching at your own risk. im just gonna tell you now, it gets dumber.

So, are people still talking about this show? Last reply here almost 2 weeks ago, and from my experience the normalcattle has already moved on. It was flavor of the month slop, just like I predicted.
Question now is: Was this worse than the Halo TV show, looking back?
Both had a similar level of lore rape, both were clearly written by people who had never interacted with the source material, both are massive insults to fans.

It's hard to say, man. I care more about Fallout than Halo so of course I'm gonna say the Fallout show is worse.

i cant watch people play anything fallout related anymore because the only reason they care about the series now is because of the tv show, and their minds have forever been corrupted because they will compare everything fallout to the show.
Welcome to the club. This is how us boomers felt when Fallout 3 came out btw, and no it doesn't get any better

Nope! Nobody in my game friend group has brought it up once since the week after it dropped. I also don’t hear or see and news on it. I noticed that these past couple weeks the amount of reviews for the show on IMDB have severely declined. It sits at 170k reviews currently. I think earlier this month it was 140k.

Yeah this is forgotten dogshit.
...until the shilling for Season 2 starts, and all of a sudden all Fallout spaces are filled with totally genuine fans who are excited to consoom the next product.
I very much find trolls who say that the show(and sometimes go as far as saying all bethesda games) is not canon hilarious because it triggers both bugthesda fanboys and paid advertisers in these threads, as well as spook the cattle that just found out about the IP and doesn't want to get involved in the flamewar.
It's simple, but brilliant way to kill off any TV show discussions or at the very least derail the thread, not to mention out any tourists from the thread. Looking forward to round 2 between the shills and old fans on /fog/ especially, there is still a few people there who get PTSD and start crying about random boogeymen from other generals when the word "canon" is uttered there.

nah its still being talked about. it just not getting talked about here. the fallout thread, sure, but london came out and they taking shots at that, so talk has slowed. and since most people here didnt care for the show, they'd rather move on to something else than continue discussing it

but that's just a theory, a gay theory
