Worth watching season 2 and 3? I hated all the pozzed shit in Season 1, does it taper off?
I'd say it's worth it.

Season 2 does have issues in that it feels like its setting stuff up, but the setups do pay off with Season 3 delivering massively.

Also nothing really gets as low as the Amber gaslighting Mark moment in Season 1

People get actually mad at me when I say I like Anissa. That fucking rape scene has really overtaken the character huh?
It doesn't help that the comic readers keep nudging everyone about it like "Oh boy you won't believe what happens next" that they bash people over the head with it, and then get surprised people know comic spoilers.

Hey...
I'd say spoilers but frankly everyone knows about it at this point

She's next to Thragg and Conquest in being the most alien of the Viltrumites: a woman who doesn't want to be a mother unless she's ordered to and her mate is the absolute strongest. And in the end, she doesn't regret what she did at all, even with her totally bullshit empathy development (she shouldn't have found a man and should have just been a super version of a tiger mom where she rubs how good her 98% Viltrumite son is in everyone else's faces). Her flirting that comes across as taunting Mark are some of the best fucked up moments in the comics. She is so far removed from humanity you can't tell if she really is doing either. That gave her way more depth than a lot of other characters
TL;DR Same

Did you even watch the show or read the comic?

Angstrom, Eve, Shrinking Rae, Duplicate, Conquest, Donald, Liu, probably more I'm forgetting.

9 times out of 10, when someone unambiguously dies on screen, the show pulls a reverse uno card.

Edit: lmao I was forgetting someone, Allan too.

Yeah but Kuckman wanted her BLACKED

It would be on brand since the show pretty much is a second draft of the comic as admitted by the artist

tbh i think im done with this slop,
mark has no primary goal and is just waiting for shit to happen to him,
mark is a reactive character not a proactive one
atleast in the boys the gang spends their time trying to kill homelander, thats butchers goal and what he spends his screen time trying to accomplish.

whats marks objective? to protect earth? what that translates to is him waiting for the story to happen to him, the entirety of the show really seems to be is nothing more than killing time until the viltrtermite(?) get to earth, so far they really seem to be an hinderance to the b-plots rather than an obstacle for him to overcome, this really just is an issue with capeshit in general and its obsession with the guardian of the world trope. characters want to get fights over with so they can go back to their second life instead of some greater good.
by its nature, our main characters have little agency in their own stories, even omini man spends the first season waiting for shit to happen to him and hes supposed to be the main villain and he's not doing anything,
so the protagonists have no goals and neither do the antagonists, all we really have is a threat they keep alluding to thats been dangling over our heads for 2 seasons now.
so what i think will happen in the next season is monsters will attack the cities of earth and mark will punch them until they die.
perhaps another viltrtermite will show up and mark will punch it until it dies

Finished season 3.
I'm still gonna keep watching this if it keeps coming out because I don't really have any better ideas of what to watch, but man this show is suffering from the same disease as long-running shonens where the production values fall off more and more and they stick way too close to the source material despite how much more interesting it'd be if they tried to do something to spice up the more boring or story-narrowing parts.

I think even Kirkman said he doesn't know what to do with her powers. She can control matter. She should be alot more useful.
She's basically a super god type that can do whatever she wants outside of exploding people's brains, and she'll only either toss weak beam blasts at foes or construct pointless barriers that can be shattered with no effort by any villain more dangerous than killcannon. The only time she's done anything interesting is when she manipulated matter to fuck with Conquest on top of her near death cheat code powers, and most of that only took three seasons and a special to get to.

She also has an odd weakness apart from the she needs to know the molecular structure in order to change it and I don't think the show talked about. In the comics she said that the extra atoms she doesn't use when she transmute something gets stored in her body. So she has to expel the extra atoms. She said she goes to the bathroom alot.

Just finished the episode. As predicted, the entire season budget went into this fight. And now my mind jumps to the future fights. Hopefully this show gets more budget and better management.

Technically, she is the superhero with the most versatile, and without her mental blocks, useful powers in the whole series. But all of this matter manipulation on the levels of Dr. Manhattan is balanced by the fact that she's just a human and a literal glass cannon.
More like Captain Atom.

Dr Manhattan is only what he is because Jon Osterman was a physicist. Eve is like Captain Atom, all the power, none of the brain to use it properly.

Is it just me or is Mark not really an engaging main protagonist? I mean Omni Man was 100% stealing the show for a majority of season 1, but even outside of that...he's just kind of an emotional but relatively boring teenager who kinda gets angry sometimes and doesn't really treat threats with the severity they merit. (All I'm saying is that any other mother would have whooped his ass if he stayed in the hospital with his girlfriend while his mother, brother, and several other people could have been splattered on the street somewhere for all he knew) The highest praise people really give him are the few moments he gets angry that aren't immediately followed by him holding his own guts 2 minutes later. (Win or lose, I think the over the top nature of the show's gore makes him look like way more of a fuck up than he would in most other shows)
His dynamic with Oliver was kinda interesting I suppose.

I hate when writers give characters abilities that are way too useful for the story, so the characters have to be just fucking idiots when it comes to their powers specifically and nothing else. Unironically they should have just made her into a standard Gwen-style or Green Lantern-type energy user, a lot of people, even me, just assumed that was the extent of her moveset until it turned out she had cheat codes on this whole time and refused to use any of them outside of specific circumstances. They tried to go "noo, she doesn't actually know about architecture, so her buildings collapsed" when I seriously do not buy that a subject like that isn't something she'd just naturally pick up as she uses her powers, bitch made a whole treehouse.
