Witnessing the story's downfall in real time with the /co/mblrites has been fun. The one or two fags hellbent on defending all the retardation are like an in-house clown show. Everyone has been shitting on the story and rightfully so. And you can see the people scared of how much Kirkman is going to make it even worse.

Sure, but Invincible is one of those stories where it is fine had they diverge from the comic some more as it all progresses.

It was cheap shock to a point. One anon did make a good point and made me realize it's the only thing of consequence that came from letting the Viltrumites settle on Earth.

The show is a worse than the comics, but just by a teensy little bit. I don't really get the need to "diversify" the cast. It was good as is. Some redesigns look better than the ones in the comics, some look a little "meh".

The show looks like it is teetering on the edge of "American" and "anime". The shading is very… simplistic. I don't know a better way to put it, it looks flat.

But I will give the show a benefit. It is a little funnier.

Most likely, the rape still happens but Nolan and Eve have much heavier reactions to it, seems the show is a bit more aware that viltrumite crimes can't be instantly forgiven by saying sorry.

I originally liked the ending, but that was when my standards were far more lax as I wasn't much of a writer myself. Mark becomes his own antithesis. In fact, Mark couldn't be really said to believe in anything. He's just a plot device after Viltrumite War. Really, everyone is. It's fucking ridiculous.

And Kirkman, IIRC, has said he wants to add more original plotlines. Because that fantastic Hell episode no one liked was such a promising addition. People are going to turn on this harder and faster than they did every other slop of the past ten years.

Ending was simply meh, I am stronger than you because I care nigga he can rip you in half with his bare hands and has 1000s of years more combat experience than you.

It could go with the existing gimmick of everyone (except Yakub) is not a complete monster so why not just talk it over? and write Freddy Mercury fucking off after Mark points out he killed more Viltrumites than anyone else combined. Give him a sequel-hook quip like "Our empires will clash and the winner will lead New Viltrum to glory... eventually" or something.
